My last Connelly book turns out best

This is a remarkable book. I’ve read every Connelly book leaving this till last. I thought it was a throw away. WRONG. Fabulous lead character. Just as complex as Harry Bosch. Michael; please do a follow on. Great great great!!!

The reecording is bad!

The recording starts in the middle and ends then the beginning happens at the end. Audible should fix this. It might have been a good story (we love Connelly) but we kept being confused them figured it out when it ended halfway through... Very odd! Davis is not bad but not great.

Chasing the Dime was a very interesting book. I will definitely be listening to more by Michael Connelly.

Main character annoyingly stupid and whimper

I am a big Michael Connelly fan, but the main character, Pierce, just made one pitiful move after another. It was painful to listen to such an idiot.

It's not Harry Bosch but it ain't bad.

Like others, I was frustrated early on by the stupidity of the main character's actions. I stuck it out because I really wanted to learn who done it. About half way through, our hero suddenly becomes a boy genius and things take a more satisfying, rapid pace. In the end, some seemingly worthless early diversions become meaningful. I liked the ending and book overall.

Yes, highly recommend. Well written and read, Very hard to turn off.

Very good narrator and easy to listen.

What made the experience of listening to Chasing the Dime the most enjoyable?

What? Where? Who? Huh? My point is, the fun part of this book is paying very close attention and trying to keep tabs on every little and big thing(s) that is going on. Be careful or you may find yourself doing some rereading!

What other book might you compare Chasing the Dime to and why?

The Scarecrow by the same author is my choice, because basically, the world of high technology plays heavily in both books.

What does Jonathan Davis bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Well, all great narrator's like Jonathon, bring depth to the storyline or plot by accentuating each of the character's persona. They also provide a stage or movie like thrill or excitement by using their voices to help the listener paint that exciting, vivid picture in your mind.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

I just really enjoyed it and didn't want it to end!

My Favorite Connelly Novel

Michael Connelly was ahead of the known science when he crafted this well written, well planned novel. I’ve read everything Mr. Connelly has written, ‘Chasing the Dime’ remains my favorite. But, if you’re new to this author - don’t stop with this novel, check out his other works.

technical but g.j ood.

I liked it. took awhile to get to where it was understandable but I finally caught on.. it isn't Vosch but a nice read nonetheless.
