As the jaws of winter clamp down on the city of Halifax, the light recedes and new terrors arise, in the second book of this werewolf horror series.

Months after the war with Borland and his vicious werebrood, Kirk and Morris are experiencing curious aftereffects. They're stronger, faster, and no longer vulnerable to the sharp sting of silver. On the other hand, they're forever hungry, and nothing they eat provides the same nourishment as what they consumed on the island of Newfoundland.

When a mysterious stranger rides into Morris's territory wishing to hunt, the warden knows the visitor isn't after deer. The ultimate race begins as Kirk and Morris lead a host of wardens to put down one of their own before the next full moon—when an entire city will be subjected to one voracious appetite.

Breeds 2 is the second book in this terrifying series sure to please fans of Robert R. McCammon, Maggie Stiefvater, and Chase Novak.

What made the experience of listening to Breeds 2 the most enjoyable?

Pretty good story line, narrated by an excellent choice in Sean Runnette. Puts you right in the streets of Halifax.

What did you like best about this story?

The relationship between Kurt and Morris is very intriguing. I both loved and hated Hailey's character. Just when you started to have hope for her, she was swept aside without a second thought.

Which scene was your favorite?

My favorite scene...Since I have to chose, I will go with the first fight between Morris and Bailey at the Hunters cabin.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

The Pack is loose, the hunt is on.

Any additional comments?

Keith C. Blackmore and Sean Runnette are a dynamic combination. Right up there with Sandford and Ferrone and Child and Hill.
