Publisher's summary

A Texas serial killer called BoneMan is on the loose, choosing young girls as his prey, His signature: myriad broken bones that torture and kill - but never puncture.

Military intelligence officer Ryan Evans is married to his work; so much so that his wife and daughter have written him out of their lives. Sent to Fallujah and captured by insurgents, he is asked to kill children not unlike his own. The method: a meticulous, excruciating death by broken bones that his captor has forced him to learn.

Returning home after the ordeal, a new crisis awaits. A serial killer is on the loose, and his method of killing is the same. Ryan becomes a prime suspect, which isn't even the worst of his problems: Ryan's daughter is BoneMan's latest desire.

In a story that is devaststing in its skill and suspense, Ted Dekker brings to bear his ability to terrify and compel in BoneMan's Daughters.

Fast-Paced Thriller!

What made the experience of listening to BoneMan's Daughters the most enjoyable?

Once this book got my attention, it didn't let go! The very beginning wasn't particularly gripping, but it didn't take long. I liked the book and enjoyed the interview with the author at the end as well.

Not my favorite Ted Dekker book

book was good. it was entertaining and kept my interest. I am a big Ted Dekker fan, but I would probably recommend his book Adam over Bonemans Daughter. reader was good, not annoying like some.

This is one sick twisted character

Very well written. This is the first time I have listened to Ted Dekker. I really enjoyed listening, several time I was unable to get out of the car when I had arrived at my destination. I really enjoyed the conversation with the author at the end of the book, great touch.

Torn about this book

I am somewhat torn about this book. I thought the reader did a good job with the book and the different voices. I thought the reader definatly brought the BoneMan to life in the story. I liked the pace of the book and really enjoyed it up until the very end. I just felt like the book came to a very abrupt end and there was to much left hanging. Also, at times Ryan Evans rantings about how much he missed his daughter got a little old. So I am a little torn. Overall the first 7/8 of the book was good but the ending was horrible.

Great Listen, But...

I love the book but I really want to know what the author has against the military. Being a vet I understand how hard it is the leave your family to fight overseas. This is every enlisted man's worst nightmare to come back to his family only to have them moved one with someone else. The wife would have been arrested under the UCMJ can't cheat on your man while he's fighting for your freedom overseas. Please show respect to my Brothers and Sisters who give up family and friends to keep us over here safe and sound.
Other than that it was a great book.

Loved this book!

Would you consider the audio edition of BoneMan's Daughters to be better than the print version?

Yes. The performance was on point.

Did the plot keep you on the edge of your seat? How?

Yes. The author was so descriptive that I felt I was in the room as the plot unfolded.

What does Robert Petkoff bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Fantastic performance!

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Absolutely.

Any additional comments?

This was my first experience with this author and narrator. I'm excited to see what else they have to offer!

wow!

Ted Dekker always surprises me. I can't quit listening and I must know what happens in the end. Then, the end is never what I expect.

Good, not great

Overall, the book was good. The narration was good. I think I would’ve liked it more, if the last surprise twist, no spoiler, would not have been forced. It was utterly unnecessary, not particularly well explained, and ineffectual.
