Reading allows me to travel through time, to visit the world's unique and stunning places, to become somebody I am not... It is glorious.
Yes. I love the combo of Box and Chandler. His narration is top notch - portraying Picektt and his friend Nate so well that you will wish you had listened instead of read it yourself once you give it a try.
The plot was fairly intense with a unique perspective into the thoughts of the bad guy. This is a new style of storytelling to the Pickett novels and it works for this story.
Takes you into the bureaucracy of state government and game wardens in the state of Wyoming where hunting is big business. Character development was terrific. And finally, there is a relentless, exciting plot.
Very original villian committing crimes under another pretext.
Great voice for the western voices in the Novel.
Yes, unfortunately, I do not have 8 straight hours.
This book was great. It's another one of those thrillers were Joe box seems to get in trouble and then out of trouble .This one however has a lot of twists and turns in the story. Of course all of the normal characters show up in this book. The author ends it in a way that makes you anxious to get the next one to see the fallout.
I enjoy every JP novel. THis one had me more on the edge of my seat then the others. Always make sure you start at the beginning of the series as there are always incidents that relate back to a previous book.
Made me wonder what the rest of the world would think Joe Picket was doing wrong.
Different voices for different characters
I think the whole Joe Picket series would make a wonderful TV Series!Who's Hunting the Hunters???
As usual, Joe Picket with the help of Nate, solves "who done it?" before anyone else. And as usual, we don't know happens to Nate at the end.
This book was very intense. It made me shutter more than once. I am glad this wasn't something I was watching. Very disturbing to think of someone skinning a person like a deer.
I love the Governor. He knows who will get the job done and make the Governor look clean. So typical it is completely believable.
I hated that Robey was killed. Gee I really liked that guy and he helped be Joe's voice of reason. Gee now Joe has to rely on his conscience.
Another good Joe Picket novel.
Have listened to them all and they make good travel stories
I would definately listen again, I have read the book several times and listening is just as amazing.
I love it when Randy Pope finally get's what is coming...as a fan of all of the Joe Picket novels I have hated him from the start.
Joe of course and Nate...
I am reading the series in order and I am loving it! I love how the characters lives interact. It's interesting how old characters resurface and new characters are introduced. The narrator Mr. Chandler is amazing. This series has so many different viewpoints and ways of looking at life that it is one I will read again and again.
