Publisher's summary

From number one New York Times best-selling author Brad Thor comes his most explosive thriller yet. Packed with action, intrigue, and sublime plotting, Black List is the ultimate tale of deception in a world where "even in death" secrets can no longer be kept.

Somewhere, deep inside the United States government, is a deadly list. Members of Congress never get to see it and only the president has the final say over it. Once your name is on the list, it doesn't come off - until you're dead.

Someone has just added counterterrorism operative Scot Harvath's name to the list.

Somehow, Harvath must evade the teams dispatched to kill him long enough to untangle who has framed him for treason and why they want him out of the way.

Somewhere, someone, somehow can put all the pieces together. The only question is: Will Harvath get to that person before the United States comes under the most withering domestic terrorist attack ever conceived?

Believable Story - and Schultz is getting better

Would you consider the audio edition of Black List to be better than the print version?

I haven't read the print version so I can't comment on this.

Would you listen to another book narrated by Armand Schultz?

I have listened to Schultz narrate several of Thor's novels. In my opinion, this was one of his better performances. He's not my favorite, but this was much easier to listen to than earlier Thor novels.

Any additional comments?

Thor is doing a good job of writing "faction" and incorporating real world activities into his plots. Nice to see Harvath developing into a more mature operative.

Conspiracy Theory or Reality?

Brad Thor is meticulous at his research. He has said that his novels are "faction" - a blending of fact and fiction. They can be spooky and lean one toward paranoia. This one is no different.

It's a solid continuation of the Scot Harvath series with excellent narration by Armand Schultz.

If you are a fan of Thor's novels, this one will not disappoint.

Well Written and Well Researched

This book was well written and well researched. I only hope the Big Brother aspects are futuristic and not realistic and actually happening.

When the entourage comes off the plane to meet the ranch hands who stare at the troll and then get slapped down by the head honcho's wife.

Love the faction hate the curse words

Great story, it would have been much better with out the curse words. I had to put the headphones on to avoid my children hearing the curse words.

Loved the continued story for Scott. In this story line enjoyed all the technical and information based technology specific ideas.

Narrator Stole from the Story

Would you try another book from Brad Thor and/or Armand Schultz?

Probably not, just because this was your typical "espionage" story--the setup, and then everyone killing everyone else while being on the run. There were some interesting issues raised, such as the role of the government and the web, but the narrator was so flat and expressionless that it was hard to really get excited about the story.
