A great listen

This is the sequel to Hot Rocks. It's also an In Death book, I think 17.5. It's nice because you get a peek at Laine and Max from Hot Rocks 50 years later. It keeps your attention and is a good way to breeze through household chores. It would make a great beach book too. Susan Ericksen does a great job.

A shorter Eve that is as good as full-length

Several times in the past I've found the shorter nouvellas not as good as the full-length books, but this one is very good.
Someone kills a house sitter watching a house where an author is on tour. The author wrote a book about a real-life crime involving missing diamonds. Baxter and Trueheart catch another case -- a young woman who works for a cleaning service is killed. The same cleaning service that the author uses. What are the odds the murders are unrelated?
It's a fast read and has all the touches we've come to love in Eve Dallas books. Loved it!

For the love of Nora Roberts/JD Robb

Another great book. I love all the In Death series. I have read them all and have started listening to them again while awaiting the next one. ❤️

Big Jack the Conclusion to "Hot Rocks"

I actually "read" the book "Hot Rocks" and so I was pleased to see that it actually led into an Eve Dallas book conclusion. "Hot Rocks" was originally published as "Remember When" so I already knew that, since it said so in the front pages of the book. I was able to then listen to it through my Library-2-Go downloadable loan books. I jumped at the chance to get "Big Jack," as I am an Eve Dallas fan.
"Big Jack" is a satisfying conclusion to the mystery.

Hopefully better

I own all the In Death books on audio. I got them all right here from Audible.com. This is the second book from Remember When. I was eager to download this book because the Remember When has technical glitches. It cuts off in the middle of sentences when switching chapters. After repeatedly reporting the glitch to Audible and redownloading "new" files, it still had the same glitches. I'm hoping with this file it won't cut off in the middle of sentences when moving to a new chapter.

Continuation of Nora Robert’s “Hot Rocks”

“Big Jack” is the second half of “Remember When,” a hardcover that I attempted to read about ten or so years ago. I didn’t enjoy reading “Hot Rocks,” the first half by Nora Roberts, so I quit reading before hitting JD Robb’s half.

After reading the 50th Eve Dallas book, I finally bought and listened to the Audible version of JD Robb’s half of “Renember When.” As always, Susan Ericksen does superb voice-acting during her narration of “Big Jack.” I liked this novella better than “Golden in Death,” perhaps because it’s set earlier in the series.

another good one

I know it was only 1/2 of a double story but that didn't bother me since I hadn't read the full book. I felt this story stands perfectly well on its own.
I enjoyed listening and as usual the narration was terrific.
I hope they never change out Ms. Erickson for someone else.
she is perfect.
