Kept me wanting to listen. couldn't put it down. I

Its been the 4th Grey Man book I've listened and one of the best for story line, twist, plot. Enjoyed very much. especially how he got out of the hands of his torturers and his plan to reach out to LA Rocha's rivals. As always the narrator brings us into the atmosphere of the story. I will be looking for the next.

Not my favourite of the series, but still great

This is the 7th out of 8 of the series for me, not in order obviously. I still liked it and laughed quite a few times. I gave 5 in every category for all the others and there had to be a lull, you'd think! And it has been fascinating to go into these rough areas of the world and have Court get by. When I realized after #2 in the series, he was going to be on the run, I almost skipped #3 and #4 because I knew Court so well after all these books I couldn't handle the feeling of him being hunted. But there was a preview of #3 included with #2 and, of course, I got hooked again and it's still just as interesting. I didn't like the element of torture, which wasn't really too much, and maybe the odd scene didn't feel real, but I still love the series, think he's a superb writer. I'm beginning to sense what the author will do sometimes, not in terms of plot but in terms of how much he'll put the reader through emotionally, such as who will die and who won't. He pulls your emotions in but doesn't trample all over them, which I like. Onto the last one for me for now, which is #4. Then I'll have to wait for #9!

Better Than The Last Gray Man

I am still undecided about this series. The main character is interesting but the violence is almost over the top. After the last book I was reluctant to get this one. I was intrigued by the fact that Court finds himself in the midst of a family when he is so accustomed to being alone. It brings out the human side of him and even injects a little humor in what is a very sad story. Were it not for this aspect of the storyline I am not sure I am not sure I could have finished due to the sickening torture and murders.

Not as perfect as the first 2 books, still GREAT!

Did Jay Snyder do a good job differentiating all the characters? How?

I hate to give Jay Snyder anything less than 5 stars... He is my favorite narrator, but on this particular book there was a huge amount of female dialog. And I feel that a female narrator should have been added in addition to Jay Snyder. It would have added more realism to the performance.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

I really enjoyed everything that happened right after Court's rescue... The story becomes even more twisted and the action is mindblowing.

Any additional comments?

I found the first 2 books to be perfect. This one a little less, mostly due to the long stall when Court is spending so much time with a family... Soon after that it picks up and it's back to business for the Grayman. Other than that I wish this time around they would have added a female narrator for certain scenes. Other than that this is as close to perfection as you can get.

Love it

If you could sum up Ballistic in three words, what would they be?

Over the top! The Gray Man is like Mission Impossible!

Who was your favorite character and why?

The Gray Man of course, he is human, suffers, he is not perfect and sometimes makes bad judgments but gets the job done.

Which scene was your favorite?

There isn't just one, Impossible to say.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

The entire story line from book one moved me to buy the next one!

Any additional comments?

This author has an incredible imagination. I could never come up with this stuff and his stuff is awesome. Can't say it enough but the character is over the top, impossible and totally NO WAY but you buy into it, you believe regardless what the Gray Man is going through, he will get the job done.

Good Gray Man episode

Where does Ballistic rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

The only problem with the excellent reader was his unfamiliarity with Spanish pronunciation. This book is in my top 10.

What did you like best about this story?

I liked that it took place in Mexico.
