But how to pick just 100 of these unique and immersive listening journeys? We defined a series as having a minimum of three books, and—after some debate—we decided the titles had to be anchored in fiction. From YA to horror to historical fiction, from fresh voices to seminal tales, hours of discovery await.

They keep just getting better.

I can't believe it took me so long to find the Gray Man series. It's great and the first three books just seem to keep getting better.

Jay Snyder is the Gray Man

Great narration as always to a great series. Mark Greany does a great job with the writing and Jay Snider is fantastic as the the narrator.

A good read, give it a chance

These stories always start a little slow. Three or four chapters to catch you up but after that the story runs at a decent clip. I enjoyed this story but I'm somewhat reminded of Charlie Brown trying to kick the football. Sooner or later the gray man has to have a break. :-)

Unpredictable twists and turns.

What a great listen. The story is fast paced and the twists and turns kept me interested from the start. Great performance as well.

Best of this series so far!

I have liked all of the Gray Man books to date but this one I found myself not able to leave alone. Usually I listen in my car to and from work. This one had me going so much I would find myself wondering how in the hell he was going to get out of this or that situation. I ended up listening at my desk during (ok, and a little bit after) lunch. I've never done that. Sometimes doing chores around the house but never at work. It had a lot of action and a little more character development which I welcomed. I am starting on the last of the series tomorrow.

Lots of action

This was exciting as the gray man stories usually are. Maybe worth a 5th star, if I hadn't been slightly confused by the last 10 minutes.
I'm sure it's my bad!

impressed

Any additional comments?

I am working my way through the series and found this one the best so far as in Ballistic. I feel you get to know how fragile and how misunderstood our hero Court Gentry is. I am happy with the procession of the series as Mark Greaney has created a flawed character with very strong morals that perhaps does not exist with the modern day.I recommend this book
