A Bit Too PollyAnna
Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?
No, I can't say this was worth my precious listening time. I did use the new 1.25x speed which help make the action match author's intention. However, the Amazon reviewer got this book spot on. This had a good story line, but came off like listening to an outline. It had all the elements of a good romance/mystery but it lacks sophistacation in a few places.
What was your reaction to the ending? (No spoilers please!)
A bit dull. I have no reason to seek more of this author's work. I purchased this read due to Ms Dawe as the reader.
What does Angela Dawe bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
Ms Dawe was the saving grace to this read. If I had read it, I would have quit by chapter 2.
Ms Dawe's great male voice range made all of the male characters come to life in this simple story.
See Anne Wilson's Hover for a great adventure that Ms Dawe reads. I listened to it twice in a row, which is a first for me.

Enjoyed others by the author this was a little scattered. Like the woman in the story, Trying to straighten her life and dreams, she became the center in a murder investigation, given audio and was enjoyable for my voluntary review
