Wow

I'm just gonna keep it simple and say "The best Rapp novel EVER!" This is the story of how it all began. I couldn't stop listening.. it kept me awake until it was over. Great book!

This installment in Mitch Rapp series takes us back to the beginning - how Mitch Rapp became Mitch Rapp.

Did the plot keep you on the edge of your seat? How?

Story line was interesting, enough action to keep you in the edge of your seat.

Compelling origin for an extra-ordinary character

Where does American Assassin rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

This rates very high. I was familiar with the character of Mitch Rapp and is adventures, so it was great to see how he became the super-secret and deadly CIA operation/ assasin he is in today. The story never dragged, and always kept moving forward, leaving you wondering how was this going to work out.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Stan Hurley was my favorite this go around. Such a tough, nasty guy, he could be the only man to help make Mitch Rapp the man he would be. Plus, the narrator did an excellent job of bringing this character to life.

Have you listened to any of George Guidall’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

This was my first time hearing Mr. Guidall, and I would highly recommend him and cannot wait to hear another one of his narrations.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Most definitely. I wish I could have!

Could not stop listening!

I am a member of the Audible club. I automatically purchase one book at a discounted rate every month. I had already listened to my book for the month, but I purchased this additional Vince Flynn book for vacation to entertain myself. I ended up listening to the whole thing while packing and traveling.

It is beautifully narrated and performed. I literally could not stop listening. Purchasing yet another book for the remainder of the week (or maybe the next two days). :)

2nd time around

Slow summer so I decided to start on the Rapp series for 2 nd time. This time starting with American Assassin. Didn't disappoint...ready for the ride again!!!RIP Vince Flynn

I like this character. I am glad I got this book , This tells how Mitch came to be.

First time I have EVER yelled out loud listening to a book. Another great Mitch Rapp book!

I immensely enjoyed this audiobook! I have not read any of the other installments of the Mitch Rapp series, but after listening to this one I plan on starting on the first book immediately. Great storyline and great characters.
