excellent story

wish I would have read this book years ago, definitely better than the movie. enjoyed the characters.

Great read.

This is and was a defining title of Baldacci's early career. I can see why it was made into a major motion picture. The totality of it made easy work for the screen writers as well as had some actual historictal relevance due to the Clinton Impeachment proceedings.

Scott Brick is an amazing narrator, I always look for titles that he narrates.

My only complaint about this title is that there is so much detail, that it leaves the reader wanting the story to just move on and get on with it.

The pace of Baldacci's writing is perfect... just when you think it's over, another mess!

Scott Brick is a great voice, but talks very slow. It was perfect when sped up to x1.5

Bland

I really enjoy Baldacci books however, the narrator on this one is bad. His voice is so soft all the time it grates. Everyone sounds the same and the first sentence he uttered I knew it was going to be a long book. I wanted to finish it, but it was difficult! Good luck with this one.

Was so interesting. One of the best books i hv read n a long time So suspenseful. Will read more david baldacci books. The reader Scott Brick was the best!! How he could do all those different voices were amazing. Loved it ordering another david baldacci as im writing!!

Extra Short Story

I've read most of David Baldacci's books.
Absolute Power was not my favorite. The story was one of the worst books as far as ALL the descripted (my word) works of this author. It feels like he was day dreaming while he wrote.
The story itself was great. I enjoyed the plot and the characters.
I don't feel cheated by buying this audio book mainly because of the short story, No Time Left at the end. I would love to see Mr Baldacci do a full novel along the same line.
I really do love Baldacci's characters and plots. I like that the endings leave me wanting to read the next book.
