Great writing, and the narrator held my attention

Really enjoyed the audiobook. The writing was great, and the narrator hold my attention with great ease. Characters all have a high level of realism and believability. I'm already started the next in the series.

Not much to say: there was the appropriate amount of suspense and horror, and the intertwining relationships led to insights and overall world suspicions. Are all of your services – particularly medical performed by individuals who are aboveboard?

hoping the rest of the series is as good as this first book!

im guessing this book is at the beginning of the books Kate Rudd has narrated, bc after having listened to others she's done, she's very good at what she does. i always know when i see her name, its gonna be a good one! the only thing i want to say to ms ragan, other than great job in everything of hers ive read/listened to so far, is this: as an addict in recovery for a little over 5 years and forever to go (id like to believe, and plz know that if this is anyone reading this too, believe in yourSelf and you Will stay strong in your recovery!), the one thing i noticed you got wrong is that you don't snort crack, you smoke it. but it gave me a laugh, so thanx for that lol. otherwise, ill be continuing to devour your books until ive read them all! ty!

Pretty good, but I didn’t love the narrator.

The narrator wasn’t my favorite especially when she did her impersonation of Spider-Man. Also some of the events were a little too unrealistic while others weren’t well explained. Otherwise I liked it. It definitely kept me interested through my commute drive.

Gripping story, excellent narration. Loved it!

Kate Rudd does an amazing job narrating. Each character voice is unique and memorable. Ragan's story is fast paced, exciting and well plotted. I thoroughly enjoyed this audible presentation.

Struggle to the finish

The finish was way too predictable. The book could have ended in half as many pages. This was my first and last read by this author

Just ok.

I've listened to much better in this genre...it was on sale so I tried it. I probably will not continue on with the series. I still have a hard time listening to Kate Rudd, I am trying to like her style but just can't get there.

Great concept; needs better execution.

Once again a promising start of an audible selection fades into an uneven; sometimes excellent piece of literature. But at other times her dialogue is often reminiscent of a predictable network crime show. Ragan's third person writing is the strength of this work and is at times very good. Unfortunately all too often she falls back on cliches; particularly in regards to her dialogue. This is a selection that I recommend with reservations. There are enough positive aspects in this book that i'm willing to purchase her next work. Ms. Ragan is a talented writer and hopefully her future works will reflect the natural growth of most writers.

I listened to it in the car and while at the nail salon, made the time fly by.

Did the plot keep you on the edge of your seat? How?

Yes, I couldn't wait to get in my car and find out what would happen next.

I like Haley.

yes if I could have.
