Escaping from a madman should have been the end of her nightmare. Instead it was only the beginning....
Lizzy Gardner was just 17 when she was kidnapped by the psychopath known as Spiderman, a serial killer terrorizing her California hometown. Imprisoned and tormented for months, Lizzy narrowly escaped with her life and Spiderman vanished without a trace. But if she thought he would forget her, she was dead wrong.
Fourteen years later, Lizzy is a successful private investigator and self-defense instructor. Wracked with guilt over being the only victim to survive, she's devoted her life to helping others protect themselves from the horrors she endured. But a single phone call brings the terror of the past crashing back. Spiderman has returned and this time, he has no intention of letting Lizzy go. So begins a chilling game of cat-and-mouse, a terrifying, heart-pounding hunt for vengeance that only one will survive.

There wasn't anything that I really loved about this book.
Not in my opinion. The narrator was so bland and boring. There was no emotion in her voice and it was very hard to differentiate the characters at times. I had to rewind several times.
The whole thing was pretty disturbing. I did like the relationship between Lizzy and Jared.
I will probably not purchase any more titles from this author.
First time I read this author. I thought it was a great book. Kept me interested throughout. Read/listened in less than two days. Thanks to Amazon I am able to broaden reading material. Finding more authors and stories I love. Thus was a great book. I am looking forward to more of her books. Whisper sync narration was awesome.
My second review. I didn't know what to expect from this story either. The narrator was perfect for the story. Lots of situations were handled nicely. Not too many adult situations or graphic langue. A somewhat mild combination of adult themes but sill well written with believable characters.
The reading was choppy and did not flow.
The story had a lot of twists and turns. It was a great story.
Really enjoyed the audiobook. The writing was great, and the narrator hold my attention with great ease. Characters all have a high level of realism and believability. I'm already started the next in the series.
Great story but the drawback that takes away from this is some really stupid dialogue. I can't give away the story so you'll have to hear it for yourself. Did you ever while watching a movie or reading a book tell the character they're stupid. It's here. Good book otherwise.
Love to read and when i'm busy I'll take an audiobook.
The story develops with such intense that you can't turn it off. Keeps you guessing until the very end.
