#1 NEW YORK TIMES BESTSELLER • THE BLOCKBUSTER JACK REACHER SERIES THAT INSPIRED TWO MAJOR MOTION PICTURES AND THE STREAMING SERIES REACHER

“Reacher gets better and better. . . . [This is the] craftiest and most highly evolved of Lee Child’s electrifying Reacher books.”—Janet Maslin,
The New York Times

In nearby Bolton, South Dakota, one brave woman is standing up for justice in a small town threatened by sinister forces. If she’s going to live long enough to testify, she’ll need help. Because a killer is coming to Bolton, a coldly proficient assassin who never misses.

Reacher’s original plan was to keep on moving. But the next 61 hours will change everything. The secrets are deadlier and his enemies are stronger than he could have guessed—but so is the woman he’ll risk his life to save.

Take another thrill ride with Jack Reacher.

Well worth the listen

Engaging story. Hours countdown keeps up the suspense. Characters well written and the story is plausible. It kept me wanting more.

Good Reacher yarn - get it

I really enjoy the Reacher character and the situations he gets into - no matter how far fetched. This one didn't disappoint. Reacher was his typical self - a marshmallow with a sandpaper exterior. How clever Lee Child is with this ending. I won't even hint to not spoil it for those who will surely listen to this. Get it, listen to it and enjoy it. Lot's of movement, lots of good interesting story lines - highly recommend it.

My favorite Reacher story.

This is my favorite Reacher story. The setting and story are excellent. Reacher is at his best. Dick Hill's narration is superb, the last 20 minutes of it, beyond compare.

Reacher said nothing.

The Year of the Cliffhanger, why, oh, why

I enjoyed this book immensely, as it was almost perfect. I love when a story is taking place in the middle of winter, where the weather itself becomes an integral character. There was the standard assortment of small town characters, and then some really great new characters which I enjoyed considerably.

The story was interesting, although I was able to figure out who the bad guy was very early on, which I hate. Even loaded with that knowledge I really liked Reacher in this story and the book has a whole was much better then his last outing.

The only really bad thing I can say is I HATE cliffhangers. I don't know if the editors got together last year and decided that this would be the year of the cliffhanger, but this is the second book in a row where it has ended with a cliffhanger. This ain't 1950's television where we need a cliffhanger to come back to watch next week.

All in all, a great Ritcher book, some great characters, decent plot, and a crapola cliffhanger. Any Reacher fan needs to read this, just be prepared to tune in next week kids!

VERY GOOD, loved it!

Heart pounding, page turning (you know what I mean), great action, just enough twists that I could hardly wait for the end. Very good audio book!!!!

What did you like best about this story?

The twists and turns...

Which character – as performed by Dick Hill – was your favorite?

Reacher, of course.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

I like the title, 61 hours counting down, and the entire time, you had no idea what it was counting down to.

I was expecting more Reacher...

It is a good book. I tend to disagree with people when they say certain men are terrible with their female character voices. Yes there are folks out there with better ones then others but then those voice actors would probably not be able to pull off a good Jack Reacher voice.

performance aside, I was just expecting more Reacher. That's why I gave it four stars. But that may be just because it was a little different.
enjoy!!

Reacher never disappoints

I love Dick Hill's narratives. Lee Child is one of my favorite writers. Reacher is a smart, tough guy with a heart.
