Publisher's summary

Four women - four friends - share a determination to stop a killer who has been stalking newlyweds in San Francisco. Each one holds a piece of the puzzle: Lindsay Boxer is a homicide inspector in the San Francisco Police Department, Claire Washburn is a medical examiner, Jill Bernhardt is an assistant D.A., and Cindy Thomas just started working the crime desk of the San Francisco Chronicle.

But the usual procedures aren't bringing them any closer to stopping the killings. So these women form a Women's Murder Club to collaborate outside the box and pursue the case by sidestepping their bosses and giving one another a hand.

1st to Die is the start of a blazingly fast-paced and sensationally entertaining new series of crime thrillers.

I enjoyed all the twists and turns. I really thought I had it figures out. The narrator though was a bit annoying.

The storyline.

She could have changed her voice as she sounded the same with each character.

1st to die

I am in love with the characters. I'll try not to give anything away, but all of the twists and turns were expected, but not at the same time. I am so excited to see what comes next for the girls, and I'm hoping their Womens Murder Club gets bigger.

Enjoyably surprising!

This was my first time listening to a book so I was skeptical, but I actually did enjoy it. It actually did keep my attention. By the last few chapters, I was very intrigued to find out what was really going on. I will definitely listen to the series.
