Publisher's summary

Anna is a young California girl excited to head off to college soon, especially since the hot guy she met while waiting in line for a gourmet waffle is also planning to attend.

But everything changes when her mom, Olivia, suddenly announces that she's gotten engaged to a man who lives deep in the Tennessee mountains, right outside the tourist town of Granite--and that they'll be moving there immediately. Now Anna is stuck in the creepy woods, in a cabin on a steep hillside, with a mother who's been acting strange, a step-father who seems to command her attention at all times, and her creepy new step-brother Boyd, who appears to be fascinated with her--and who seems to know her every thought.

The closer Anna looks, the more she realizes there's something wrong with these people. They have a secret, one they've protected for years out here in the middle of nowhere, and if Anna isn't careful, she just might find out what it is.

Content Warning: This story contains steamy scenes, creepy scenes, and hopefully plenty of laughs. It is intended for adults only. HEA guaranteed.

Different

This was a difference story and I could not get into the tentacles. Also the AI voice was too flat. It made it difficult to connect with the characters. What happened to the children?

Tentacle por*!

Tentacle porn is a thing and if you like it, this is probably a good story for you. It’s interesting and well written. The virtual voice does a fair job. You definitely need an open mind to enjoy this and if you’re squeamish, it might be a difficult listen. There is a lot of squishy, liquidy grossness. Not my thing, but appreciate that it was done well.

Weird af

So this was just a weird concept for a story. I don’t really see how it could be anything but gross but that’s just me. Virtual voice is still not pleasant but in the context of this book about a mostly emotionless alien it actually kind of worked for their parts.
