Emotional fantasy romance!

My Soul to Take is a soulmates romance that will tug at your heartstrings. Maisie a fallen angel who is summoned by Sawyer who is terminally ill. Their journey was full of twists and turns and so many emotions to find their true happy ending.

Stella Hunter and J.F. Harding narrate this book in duet and elevate the story with their narration. They were able to capture Maisie and Sawyer’s pain and anguish through their voices. Both narrators gave wonderful performances.

Heartfelt and beautiful!!

"My Sin? Falling in love." yeah babe me too but just like I couldn't help it neither could Sawyer and Maize.

Before I even started this book, I kept seeing things like "my heart" and "I am not okay" or my personal favorite "why won't the tears stop" so of course I jumped right in the first chance I had.

And Meg Anne, I am seriously not okay!! Why did you have to do that to me? My heart was breaking from start to finish and while the good parts were oh so delicious you knew the inevitable was coming.

Don't misunderstand, this book was incredible. Meg has a way with her stories that have you captivated before you even realize it and My Soul to Take was the same way. I knew it wasn't going to be what I thought it was and while I wanted to spill all the juicy bits I won't. This book deserves to be devoured with as little information as possible.

J.F. Harding brought Sawyer's character to life and while I have heard him do one hell of a cowboy and even a remarkable stutter, I had never heard him do an accent the way he did in this book. That man is really gaining traction and if you haven't listened to his narrations, you are sorely missing out. And then the queen herself, Stella Hunter. She did incredible as usual. When Maize's heart was breaking so was Stella's and that really is the test of a good narrator in my opinion. If you can't hear the emotions in their voice, then something is missing.

Truly, this might be one of my favorite Meg Anne standalones that I have read, and I don't' want to let the characters go. From the first chapter to that breathtaking ending, she had her claws into me. I truly hope we get more in this world that Meg Anne has started to build.

Fascinating & Heartfelt! Amazing Story & Listen🎧

Meg Anne continues to blow me away with another amazing and beautifully written paranormal fantasy romance novel. It is a love story like no other, an original story with fascinating storylines that captivate your attention and tugs at your heartstrings the entire time.  I adored both lead characters, Maisie and Sawyer. Maisie, a fallen angel, is a contractor for the devil and Sawyer has a terminal illness who is looking to live a life without pain and illness. To do that, he will need to make a deal with the devil and sell his soul, and Maisie would be the one to seal that deal. Except, she recognizes something in Sawyer and for her own personal reasons, she does not want him to make that deal. She can not tell him that, so she buys some time, hoping to change his mind. I loved how everything played out in this book, the plotting and world building is fantastic and so is the character growth and development. And that twist at the end was incredible. Meg Anne, thank you for this exceptional story and emotional rollercoaster ride.

🎧📚🎧 And for the fabulous narration, Stella Hunter and J.F. Harding were the perfect cast to bring these characters to life. They had a complete understanding of the characters they were portraying, giving each a voice a voice that was fitting and was believable in the roles they played. Hunter nailed the role of Maisie, fully embodying her personality, internal struggle, strength, and determination. Her accent from Maisie's past life was also incredible. Harding was just as amazing as Sawyer, grasping the struggle with his illness and his determination to free of it at any cost. You could hear how much heart they put into their performance, capturing their characters’ emotions and have you feeling them all. These wonderfully talented voice artists are entertaining storytellers and a pleasure to listen to. Thank you for another exceptional listen.

Loved!

My Soul to Take by Meg Anne was such a sweet treat! I loved the bittersweet edge of Maisie and Sawyer’s relationship and the ultimate redemption she receives in her sacrifice for him.

The epilogue was pure meet-cute, new relationship, soul mates reunited magic. Meg tugged at my heart strings and made me laugh out loud at times with this novella that played out like a movie in my mind as I listened.

Stella Hunter gave Maisie so many facets of vulnerability, sass, strength and conviction with her performance. J. F. Harding was irreverently charming and sweet as all the incarnations of Sawyer. I love listening to these narrators perform together!

Loved Maisie and Sawyer!

LOVED this book! My Soul to Take by Meg Anne was a sweet, sensual, and heartfelt romantasy that did crazy good things to my heart. Maisie and Sawyer's soulmate romance was full of unexpected twists and swoony turns, and I couldn't get enough of their love story.

Stella Hunter and JF Harding performed this audiobook in duet narration. These two were the perfect pairing for Maisie and Sawyer. Stella's melodic tone complimented Maisie's conflicted and passionate persona while JF's smooth, mellow voice portrayed Sawyer's vulnerable and swoony personality perfectly. I loved their magnetic and fated chemistry.

Overall, I LOVED this audiobook! I always look forward to more from Meg Anne.

Love through the ages

Performance: I love these two narrators and would listen to anything they read

Story:This was a sweet love across the ages story. Soul mates will find each other no matter what. I would consider this a simmer as far as heat until the very end.

Had A Lot More Feels Than Expected

The blurb describes this book as, "a stand-alone forbidden-love-meets-fated-mates romance that explores how far a fallen angel will go for a second chance to save her soulmate." That felt like a tall order for an audiobook that is just under 4.5 hours, but the author did deliver.

The story definitely packs a bit of an emotional punch. I loved how the author incorporated flashbacks to give the reader the full story behind the forbidden lovers. All of the feels are there, but knowing what you know as the reader, you heart will bleed for the main characters. The epilogue was everything I needed it to be and then some. There were a couple details that I didn't understand, maybe I missed something while listening, or maybe this is something explained in another one of the author's books even though this is a standalone; specifically the place the Maisie is staying (where are those people).

Stella Hunter and J.F. Harding really took this book to the next level. I love that this book was done in duet because it really does bring something extra special to the story.

Heartbreaking and Hopeful. I loved every minute.

This standalone was emotional and beautiful. It made me cry and I loved it.

What happens when one of Lucifer's contract negotiators realizes the soul she's been called to arrange to claim belongs to the man who made her understand the feeling of love hundreds of years before? He's sick and is willing to sell his soul for a chance to live a life away from the hospital.

We get adventures in the present and we get visions of the past when their souls first encountered each other. The burn is slow, but the feels are high and the hope and joy I felt at the end was just so beautiful.

The audiobook was performed in duet by Stella Hunter and JF Harding. Both did an amazing job with this one. The accent work, the emotions and JF's portrayal of Sawyer with his illness was tangible at times. Stella's emotions as Mazie from the moment she found Sawyer in his hospital bed were so intense. I enjoyed every moment of these performances.

I requested and was provided with an advance copy of the audiobook. These are my honest opinions.
