Excellent Who Done It in the grand old style

Another fun mystery from Carlene O'Connor! Garda O'Sullivan once again proves her high ability to decipher unsolvable mysteries. I love the way she thinks and that the village feels safe, if not compelled, to whisper to her with gossip and hidden clues.
This series has been a true delight. The narration by Caroline Lennon is seamless and brings to life the sibtleties of the characters.
I was smiling to beat the band at the homage to a classic Christie reveal.
I finished this book in record time and eagerly await the next installment.

Interesting Characters, Old Fashioned Murder Mystery murder

This is literally a locked room murder mystery. I like the characters, and descriptions of a small Irish village.

Kudos for murder in an Irish pub

I delayed reading this book because I knew once I started reading it would be over too soon. Once again the characters jumped out at you and welcome you into their latest adventure. Filled with humor, intrigue and images of the Irish countryside I challenge anyone who reads this book not to be hooked

Another Great One

I really love this series. I’m ready for the next one! I stumbled across the first and I have continued to buy each one.

What a Gamble

I loved the narration. Can’t have an Irish story without the Irish language. Several twists in the tale, and a female detective. Enjoyed it all.

The Narrator is Essential

Plot moves quickly enough, and red herrings are plentiful, and characters have a little meat on their bones. But for me, the authenticity of an Irish accent for an Irish setting is the ticket.

This is a true "who done it" murder mystery. Applause to Caroline Lennon's narration. Her ability to bring Carlene O'Connor's writing to life is a gift. What a great team.

Fun listen

Fun listen. Thoroughly enjoyed the narration as well, with an authentic Irish accent and good American accent, and enough of a change between women's and men's voices to keep the story running clearly without being corny. Realistic dialog, especially notable between the children, who act and talk like real kids everywhere. I love the characters. All the books in this series are quite fun, but, alas, I have finished them all. Waiting for a new one!
