Publisher's summary

More supernatural than a blockbuster movie

The most beloved story of Israel’s deliverer and the Exodus as you’ve never heard it before in a novel. Fully biblical and fully researched in its ancient Egyptian context.

A stand-alone novel of spiritual warfare from the Bible.

Moses is in line to become the next Pharaoh, god-king of Egypt. But when he discovers his true family identity as a Hebrew slave, Pharaoh seeks to kill him.

So Moses flees to Midian, land of the mysterious Mountain of God. That God, Yahweh, calls him to return to Egypt and its new Pharaoh to bring his people out of slavery.

A War of Gods and Men

But Pharaoh is not the only villain Moses must face. The 10 plagues are Yahweh’s war with the gods of Egypt. And those gods are not myths. They are demons. And they are not about to let the Israelites go without a fight.

Egyptian slavery and exodus, Midian freedom, the 10 plagues, the 10 commandments, the Red Sea parting, Mount Sinai, the golden calf, angels, and demons. It’s all in this biblically faithful retelling of the supernatural story of Moses against the gods of Egypt.

Get the companion book, The Spiritual World of Moses and Egypt, to learn the amazing biblical and historical research behind the novel.

Spin-off Series to Chronicles of the Nephilim

What if the pagan gods of the nations were fallen angelic Watchers from God’s throne? Chronicles of the Watchers charts the influence of spiritual warfare on human history in connection with Chronicles of the Nephilim and Chronicles of the Apocalypse.

Entertaining Truth. The Truth is cool.

Thank you brother, Brian Godawa, this book has brought me closer to the King, Jesus Christ of Nazareth. I love this area of study-the gods, Nephilim, Genesis 6:4, and etc. I really enjoyed this book and listen. It was jammed backed with Truth and things that aren’t explicitly said in the Bible, but that verified by the Bible. AMEN. HALLELUJAH. THE KING JUDGES AND MAKES WAR AND IS COMING ON A WHITE HORSE WITH HIS ROBE DIPPED IN BLOOD (Revelation 19:11-13).

Some Things To Ponder

I've been excitedly waiting for this Audiobook to come out, and it proved to be worth the wait!! As usual, Godawa does a fabulous job reading his own work. Moses's story is well known, but the spiritual side of his story is not. I've heard sermons about some of the more documented Egyptian goads and goadesses, but never broken down like this. It's filled with action and emotion. Moses's tender love for his Tzipporah and his history as a military leader who truly understands being under "Authority" to YHWH are beautifully displayed. Godawa has a way of describing marital love that is always captivating and sets him apart from every other author I've ever read, and I've read a huge number of books across many genres in my 60 years. The intensity of Jannes and Jambres story and the possibility that Moses's adoptive mother may have been a descendant of Joseph's, thereby part of the royal family is not only plausible, but also extremely well done. The only choice Brian Godawa made that I disagree with was his decision to have both of his mothers, birth and adoptive, die. Bithia aka BatYah is spoken of in 1Chron4:18. YHWH blessed her to marry Mered and give birth to 3 children, obviously a reward for her bravery and steadfast care for Moses. This could have given Tzipporah an ally. In spite of that, I can honestly say that each chapter left me with some things to ponder.

I think the absolute best chapter is the last one, where Godawa explains the holiness of being "separated out" by YHWH in the Creation story. Now I need to re-listen to the stories beginning with "Joshua Valiant" and "Caleb Vigilant".
