Publisher's summary

When Karl Norwood' s mail-order bride meets an untimely demise on the way to the Montana Territory, Hetty Wentworth steps in to take her place. Hetty has no idea how she' s going to pretend to be all the things she isn' t - including the mother of two kids. She only knows her deception is necessary if she' s going to save two orphans from the awful fate she suffered as a child. Karl smells a rat when a much younger woman than he was expecting arrives with two children who look nothing like her. But his mail-order bride is so beautiful, he doesn' t object - until he realizes that his charming new wife has been lying...about everything. Can a woman forced to keep secrets and a man hindered by distrust ever hope to find happily ever after in each other's arms?

Excellent story and narration

The author did a wonderful job weaving the histories and the personalities of the characters into a great storyline. And the narrator!! I “read” on Audible and the narrator ratcheted the story up even more with her skill. Highly recommend.

Enjoyable

I really enjoyed listening to this book. It was entertaining and fun. I thought the narrator did a good job. The story was predictable but for me it didn’t take away from the book. I was looking for something light and this suited me fine.

Quality plot along w/ romance!

If you could sum up Montana Bride in three words, what would they be?

Touching, endearing, nerve-wracking

What did you like best about this story?

I loved how Hetty & Carl's relationship deepened & evolved. I love that Carl was plain - at first - to Hetty, but she soon realized he was so much more.

Have you listened to any of Julia Gibson’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

I have never listened to Julia Gibson's performances. She is my new favorite narrator!

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

Hetty & Carl's similar Christmas gifts for one another. Also Andy's response to Grace's secret.

Lovely story, Good Plot, Good Developed Characters

The story is so captivated, I can't stop myself till the end. The story is so well plotted, I love the characters; Carl, Hetty, Grace, Griffin, and Bao.
This will be my new favorite author and narrator.
About the narrator I was surprise she can do the Texan drawl, which is so convincing.
In short I love everything in this audiobook.
