Publisher's summary

As the daughter of Dracula, you would think I’d be born the perfect monster.

You couldn’t be more wrong.

As far as monsters go, I’m a screw up—if I’m not tripping over my own feet, I’m accidentally murdering someone (it’s a real issue, guys).

Left with no choice, Dad decides to send me to Prodigium—otherwise known as Monster Academy—to train me on how to be a better monster.

When bodies turn up on campus, I’m the prime suspect (not that I can blame them. I’ll be pretty suspicious, too, if bodies drained of blood show up right after Dracula’s daughter arrives).

With the help of my mortal-nemesis Vin, Van Helsing’s son

Frankie, Frankenstein’s son

Mason, Medusa’s son

And Jack (sometimes Hux), Dr. Jekyll’s son

I might have a chance of uncovering the truth.

If I’m not murdered first.

The struggles of being a vampire, am I right?

This is a horror comedy reverse harem with some dark elements. After all, you can’t have a bunch of monsters without some darkness. This is book one of a series.

Fun

This is a fun, lighthearted take on monsters. Great humor, great plot, great characters. Obviously, these characters are in school; so, the reader should expect them to be immature. Amazing narrators! There is very little spice in the first book in this series, and this series a fun fast read. The books in this series are not stand-alones, but the whole series is out. The spice does increase and the plot thread does decline later in the series.

All the monsters

This book has all the monsters. The academy for Monsters has its dark and dirty secrets. Violet doesn’t want to go but her dad Dracula thinks that she needs to learn to be a monster. The story line is fun. They mess up phrases and talk a lot about chopping off things. It’s a funny read and I have to say I didn’t see the end coming.

Narrators are amazing. They put so much effort into giving each character there own personality and voice.

Constantly laughing

The humor was great. Wasn’t sure what I was getting when I started this listen. I enjoyed it. Slow burn though so I’m expecting the spice to start showing up in the next book or two.

Best series!

I love this series and sooo happy Katie decided to put it on audio. Jake and Bridget did an amazing job with the voices and I can’t wait for the rest of the series to be put on audio as well. Violet cracks me up with her inner diologue and clumsy demeanor both internally and verbally. I already know how the story goes so I know she will grow through the series and I love seeing her character grow and develop to more badass than clumsy blonde.

Terrific!

This book is the first book/audiobook in the Prodigium Academy Series. It is a dark, horror comedy, slow burn, reverse harem story with enemies to lovers and fated mates elements.

This book is honestly comedic genius! The writing, characters, and storyline are all fantastic and the narration of the audiobook is perfection.

Violet is an incredibly witty and accident prone FMC, who just happens to be Dracula’s daughter. Violet and the guys are a hoot, some of the things that come out of their mouths, especially Hux’s mouth, made me literally laugh out loud. This story left me thoroughly entertained and hooked on the story and characters.

I’ve been in a real funk lately and this book was just what I needed. Definitely a five start read/listen for me. I absolutely recommend this book and audiobook and am super excited for the next one.

Expected more

Parts if the story are really good. other parts, I'm not sure what the neck is going. not sure the plot holds up and so many mates and NO sexy, steamy romance. hopefully, book two will have more story. the narration is the only thing that held out throughout the book.

Please note, this is not a book to listen to in public as it will frequently cause bouts of uncontrollable hysterical laughter that will likely gain you very strange looks from those around you. You have been duly warned & I suggest you learn from my mistakes. Seriously, don't let the little old lady in the grocery store judge you for your outburst.

This book had me cracking up so many times & the narration for the audiobook only made it that much better. This is a duet narrated book (male always reads the male dialog & vice versa) & it is so well done. Bravo to the narrators.

I loved the concept of this book, an academy for the monsters of the world to go to school together. And I loved how you go beyond the traditional, you don't just get vampires & werewolves, you get Frankenstein's son, Dr. Jekyll's son, Van Helsing's son & Medusa's son and get appearances from Dorian Gray's son, Cupid & the Bogyman.

Violet is also such a great female lead. She might be the daughter of Dracula, but she has a whole lot more going on then what she got from her famous father. Her internal monologue is amazing.

I cant wait to see where this series goes next.
