This is one of the best overviews of mental models

This is one of the best overviews of mental models I have to listen to. The authors provide clear examples of each model with application in a variety of settings that are beyond the initial use of the model. This was my best non-fiction purchase this year.

Like an operator manual for the practical mind.

I never praise an audiobook because it is to exchange your thoughts for those of the author. It makes sense to just move on. But this is a valuable addition to thinking... New but conservative ways of understanding. Worth the time. Thanks.

Very good points on critical thinking

This is a great audiobook bc it takes some difficult concepts and distills them to their essence. I don't want all the details on each mental model. I want the basics and this audiobook delivers on that. 30 good ones are selected and explained with easy to understand examples. Perfect.

The material is concise, brief, and to the point.

I have found mental models to be a very interesting subject. This book is explained in a more flowing fashion. A teen could probably listen to it, but I have been adapting it for my younger daughter. The material is concise, brief, and to the point. For what the book offers, it is dense and packed with great knowledge.

The book did an excellent job!!

The book did an excellent job by connecting mental models in real-life contexts using a storytelling style rather than an academic listing of all the models. Highly recommended.

A good audiobook about decision making

This audiobook offers a concise and well-organized review of common “mental models” or approaches to problem-solving and productivity. I enjoyed that it was long on helpful details and short on hype and boosterism, an increasingly rare thing in the audible book arena today.
