Publisher's summary

A series of bizarre occurrences suddenly plague the island of Cielo Nublado. A dead whale washes ashore riddled with enormous bite marks. A fishing charter is reported missing, jet skiers vanish, and a yacht is found mysteriously ravaged after some kind of enormous impact.

Chief of Police Nico Medrano tries to investigate the matter. His search for answers puts him on a collision course with an 80-foot predator, long thought extinct. Violent and merciless, it has risen to the surface, and seeks to wreak havoc on the small island community.

Things only get worse for Nico after he discovers that a ruthless band of criminals, responsible for the deaths of two Miami cops, are lurking on the island. As the body count mounts, Nico is forced to simultaneously battle two separate monsters: Man and Meg.

The result is a bloodbath.

Don't bother.

I did NOT like this book. The Megalodon bit was a small part of the whole. It's more about a bunch of criminals (drugs, robbery, murder, which I'm not interested in reading about). VERY disappointing!
Narrator did his job very well.

A Bloody Good Time

Megalodon has become one of my favorite books in Michael Cole’s creature universe. Only coming second to the masterpiece that is SCAR. However this story was fantastically written. I found the plot to be extremely well written with great pacing. I enjoyed all of the characters in Megalodon. Cole truly showed just how much carnage a Megalodon could cause in a modern world. Speaking of the attacks I enjoyed everyone of them. The ending was great had me wishing there was even more. I thought the narrator Joshua Saxon did a fantastic job telling this story. I was able to clearly tell the different characters apart. All in all I would recommend Michael Cole’s Megalodon to anyone who enjoys a deep sea thriller are just a very well written story in general.

Spell binding and brilliant

Facebook had everything, interesting characters, just a big dash of humor, desperado cooking criminals which all combined to make a great story. And the cherry on top was an excellent reading. call must think long and hard about the people he selects to read his great stories. Thank you for a great book

Good kills, bad talking

Just some of the most cringe dialogue I’ve ever read. Press X to doubt? Land whale with blue hair and twitter? Jesus dude, did you crack open a boomer manual on how to sound cool to the youngsters? Aside from that, though, the violence and gore you want from a giant shark is there. The shark attacks in a lot of interesting ways, and there’s enough suspense before an attack to get you excited enough for when it happens.

Fun Escapism

This was a much better book than I expected. I don't know why I'm into shark thrillers right now but have found these
stories by Michael Cole entertaining.

The author leans heavily into the drug crazed bad guys trope. But the rest of the story was good with decent characters and some great banter between the "work husband and work wife".

The narrator is the one of the best parts of the story. He's good. He's not RC Bray-
But he's working on it. I really enjoyed the narrator, and he's the biggest reason I decided to write a review which I don't do often. Well done Joshua Saxon!

Perfect summertime at the beach read... or perhaps better if you’re camping in the mountains this summer ;0)

Great story

I liked the story almost as good as Thresher. Definitely worth the listen too, and loved the ending. Hope these a sequel.
