Great story
The book is a bit of a slow burn, the story itself is fantastic however it too a while to really get into the plot.

This book was just plain old fun
This book was just plain old fun. I enjoyed the throwback writing style. I also loved the historic name dropping in this fictional tale. When I heard the name Vertner Woodson Tandy my jaw dropped. ‘06

A refreshing take on noir
Really enjoyed this well-performed, un-whitewashed historical perspective of a very likeable, yet human, gentleman adventurer. Looking forward to the next installment in the series.
