So when the local humane society loses funding and several animals are in need a soft place to land, Charlotte knows her Harmony Ridge property is the ideal fit. She has space for the rescues to roam, and plenty of love in her heart to give.

Owen Strickland is in town on a favor. Howie’s Hardware is in legal trouble, and Howie has been like an uncle to Owen so the pro bono assignment isn’t a burden. Unlike Owen’s single-status, something he’s tried and failed to change. He’s nearly given up hope of meeting the right woman, until he stumbles upon a promising website.
