A mother's point of view

Having loved "Little Women" as a young women to rehear the story told from a mother's perspective now that I have daughters of my own added depth to the love of the original text. A superb job done of telling the clasic story.

A must read.

Excellent story! Kept well with the original little women, but expanded on the virtues of the real Alcott’s.

Brought me back to Little Women

The narrator was wonderful. The story was incredible. I loved remembering the details of Little Women while listening to this book. I loved thinking of Marme as an intelligent, strongly political woman raising 4 girls in the 1800’s.

True to the original Novel Little Women

I have listened to two of the authors books: Marme and Caroline. While creating a strong independent woman in Marme, there is no misplacement or uncharacteristic traits i the protagonist matriarch that threaten or lose the zeitgeist of the original novel. Brilliant!

Marmee

I thoroughly enjoyed listening to Marmee. The reader was exceptional. Her ability to pronounce German was smooth and teachable. As a history buff, I was fascinated by Sarah Miller’s sequential accounts of events during the Civil War.

Did not disappoint.

I've loved Little Women since I was a little girl. It was magical to go back to such familiar characters and hear the story through fresh point of view.

Unique take and writing style for the Little Women story. I believe it's important to already know the story of Little Women to appreciate this book.

A Nice Addition

How I have loved the Little Women series over the years! Visiting the house in Concord was absolute delight. This story gives a wonderful insight into the character of Marmie as a wife, mother, and influencer in the community.

Captivating!

Although I’ve never been much into watching “girly movies,” I have watched Little Woman once or twice and liked it this book brought so much more depth to the movie… and I am now wanting to go back and watch it again. I loved this book and have already recommended it to several friends!
