Publisher's summary

When Lady Francesca Kendall finds herself in a delicate condition, she has a decision to make, and nothing seems quite right. Instead of discerning what she should do on her own, she pays Matthew Grant, the Duke of Lindsey, a call and unburdens her troubles on him, hoping he will do the gentlemanly thing and take responsibility for the dilemma he helped create.

A Wicked Rogue

This is the first book in the Scandalous Gentlemen Series, a Regency Romance. Francesca and Matthew's story is interesting, and intriguing. I liked Francesca. She is beautiful, smart, strong, and determined. Matthew, the wicked Rogue, is non-committal, and enigmatic. They are opposites attract. The characters are well developed, and interesting. Diana Lyon did a great job bringing these characters and this story to life. She has a beautiful voice. I enjoyed it. Asking For Help

This ia a short story. This story is Francesca and Matthew's. What happens when you are disgraced and the father won't believe you? Follow their journey of doing the right thing hopefully in the end.

Francesca and Matthew

I had mixed feelings on this story. I found the story concept interesting. However, I felt there was too much pushed into the Novella, that it prevented the story and characters from being fully developed. This may have done better as a full length story. Francesca and Matthew attended the same house party, at her uncle’s estate. Upon first meeting they find themselves having sex. It is a quick wham bam, thank you ma’am. She only finds out his first name- Matthew. She is supposed to be having her first season shortly, but finds out she is pregnant (of course). She encounters Matthew at one of the balls, and finds he is the Duke of Lindsey, a rake and womanizer. Upon finding out he is soon to be a father, he rejects her, to eventually come around and accept it. The narration was decent. repentant rogue

Past hurts and bad examples caused a man to make bad decisions. Two people have to decide whether to accept consequences or look for other solutions. Eventually, a happy ending.

Never Could Like the Hero

I had a hard time liking the hero, and in fact, after seeing how he treated the heroine when she confronted him with the consequences of their hasty actions, I never could truly like him. That's actually something essential for me in romance; I want to fall for the hero along with the heroine. He certainly treated her better later, but for me, it was too little, too late. Sometimes, words said in the heat of anger cannot be taken back and leave too deep of a wound. It's never good when I wish the heroine had a different hero! I was shocked at the rapidity of their first intimate encounter while she was definitely an innocent. Of course, it soon became clear why this had to happen. The story's drama hinges upon the unmarried heroine's unplanned pregnancy and what will happen because of it. While I have enjoyed many other books by this author, this was not one of them.
