Drew Clark, ex-Marine and martial arts master, is the new instructor at the Golden Tiger dojang. Intense and aloof, she hides dark secrets and unhealed wounds beneath her warrior's exterior. Sean Gray is the young psychologist and senior student who threatens to bring down the barriers Drew has erected around her heart. Battle hardened and world weary, Drew discovers that Sean wields a weapon she has no defense against - tenderness. Finding my Heart

Drew Clark is a former Marine Gunnery Sergeant and martial arts master and instructor. She’s hiding secrets and is suffering from PTSD. Sean is a psychiatrist and senior student at the dojo. Her twin sister, Susan, and she live together and hide their own secrets. Susan’s partner is Sean’s business partner. Their lives are turned upside down by the turmoil they face. A slow real of what they need to heal themselves and each other. Marvelous narration.

Warrior is a heart touching story of love, with a vet.

Drew was a marine who taught self defense in the core, she also carried a dark secret that prevented her from finding love. Sean is a young therapist by day, but by night all her efforts have going to get her black belt, and now she was on the last steps to making it. Strangely on first glance they are drawn together.

Second time reading, so here's a new review

The first time i listened to this book honestly i wasn't impressed. The storyline for me was hard to follow with the narrator. So whats different now, I choose to listen to the words more carefully. Drew is ex military and has suffered great loss. Susan and Shawn are twins with hidden issues themself. the backgrounds of these ladies are not exposed right away, but are casually brought out in conversations. for some this would be frustration. However, i undersrand this is more about Drew and Shawn finding eachother dispite their past.
Susan's brief relaps is what finally pushes them together, and from their they can no longer hide their feelings
I really enjoyed this book this time around. I felt sad and heartbreak, I felt passion and chemistry between the two main characters as if i was right there witnessing them interact personally. This book was well written full of love.
So this is one of those, dont judge right away , truly take the time to listen this wonderful love story.

Good Listen and Interesting Story

I enjoyed the narration and the characters. The story was interesting as well. Great romantic build up between the soon to be lovers.

Not for me

This was hard for me to finish. The story was not interesting or engaging. The characters one dimensional. The narration was fine except for when Janet spoke, it was like introspective slow asian??? It was really annoying . I also did not care for the constant use of the "hearing the characters thoughts" just too much. Maybe I have reached my Radclyffe saturation limit!

not a favorite

I have 36 Radclyffe books in my library and would recommend any one of them except this one. The narration was so bad, it was difficult to give the story a chance. I would take a pass on this one.

Dull, struggled to finish

This was the last nail in the coffin in my quest for finding a lovely for romance novel. Why does it have to be so predictable from the beginning? At this point I wonder if it is AI written and self-published, or generally lacking in creativity.
Here is what I missed:
- relatable friends/family who add to the story, not only there as an annoying filler.
- character development and flaws (all MC)
- realistic work environment (this was non existent)
- 2MC experiencing struggles/moments together and not only TALKING about feelings all the time
- putting them into different scenarios together to see how they actually cope together (the scenario not only in the bed)
And this was too much:
- everyone is just talking about everything…
- described repeatedly ones good looks, eye color, body etc.
- sex scenes besides being too much, somehow managed to be really lacking in variety and love.
