Publisher's summary

He’s, like, literally the worst.

Oakley Davis is the star running back at our university and the reason I’ve broken my vow to avoid the college party scene. Thanks to a mix-up with my advisor, I’m now serving my public relations internship as a glorified babysitter to the party-hard football players.

Specifically, Oakley.

He’s impossible to manage. His Instagram is full of pictures of him half-naked and drunk, and he’d rather attend parties than practice. His brand needs some serious work, and when he’s not driving me insane, he’s sleeping his way through the entire female population.

But I’m determined. I have plans to graduate a semester early, and nothing or no one will get in my way. I’m a Virgo, after all. Oakley Davis might be a privileged, cocky football star, but I’m Amanda Matthews, and I’ll do whatever it takes to get my A.

I just have to make sure I don’t end up falling in love with the idiot first.

At the top of my list for romantic comedies!

*review for audible version*

I enjoyed this read so much! Its so freaking funny and fun, SO HOT, it has all the entertaining banter. The phrases that Amanda used throughout had me dying laughing. This is at like the top for me when it comes to romantic comedies, these authors are crazy talented at this genre.

Amanda has a past she's desperately been trying to rectify with how she lives her life now. She jumps head on into an internship that'll take her where she wants to be. Oakley is her task but little does she know that its going to be alot harder than she thought. And to top it all off, he's hot asf and distracting and that starts to become an obstacle in itself. These two together are crazy entertaining and so electric together.

The narrator is A-M-A-Z-I-N-G! She is perfect as Amanda. I loved her voice so much. She's just on point from beginning to end. I hope to get a chance listen to more narration from her. She just nailed the role of this character!

Overall, this is one of my favorite romcom's EVER! I can't wait for the next book from this duo. You definitely need to one click this read/listen ASAP!

Hilarious and Emotional!

Looking to Score is a hilarious and emotional Sports Romance, and Romantic Comedy. This is another great story written by Coralee June and Carrie Gray. Oakley is handsome, sexy and charming. Amanda is sassy, smart, strong, and determined. They are perfect together. I like their banter, and their strong chemistry. Great Epilogue. Amy Striker did a great job with the narration. I enjoyed it.

Just Ok

I enjoy all types of romance novels...ALL...I LOVE love! But this one was hard to get through. Lots of immaturity and characters that are just meh. It made me rethink my liking for YA/NA. Also, I’m not a huge fan of this narrator. Her regular voice is fine but when she’s angry/emotional/excited it’s cringy...and her voice for the heroine’s mom...even worse. Strictly my opinion and personal preference but gah! I did like the ending, very sweet. Would I recommend? No.

I loved Oakley and Amanda!!!

What an unexpectedly fun and emotional book. I loved Oakley and Amanda.

Amanda had her hands full being the public relations representative for Oakley. He was a mess, but she took on the challenge and was determined to succeed. I loved how she was able to turn her life around which allowed her to become more fulfilled as a person.

When it started, I didn’t see how I was going to like Oakley because he seemed like a colossal jerk. I was so wrong though. He grew into such a supportive and kind-hearted guy that it was hard to remember the guy we met at the beginning of the book. I truly loved his growth. He was book boyfriend goals.

One thing that would have made the book even better was dual POVs. I wanted to know what Oakley was thinking.

Amy Stricker did a fabulous job narrating the book. Her accents made the book so much fun and her inflections were terrific.
This was my first book by this duo and I’m definitely going to check out some others. If you like a book that will have you laughing but also make you feel, I highly recommend Looking to Score.

Hilarious Sports Romance!

4 stars!

Oh my gosh this book! It is the epitome of hilarious romantic comedy mixed with sports romance with characters with a ton of chemistry and steam! A perfect listen. Amy Stricker is a new to me narrator and I really loved her performance. Great tone and she told the story with just the right amount of passion and heart in her voice.

Amanda is feisty, fiery and full of sass. She was the perfect match for Oakley. She kept him accountable and in line seen as they are trying to clean up his image to the public eye. She had a bit of a checkered past and has turned her life around but something about Oakley and his antics are about to thrust her back into the spotlight.

Oakley is OTT at times, gorgeous and confident. He has all the ladies knocking in his door and Amanda has her work cut out with him!

These two exuded chemistry and their connection was pure fire! Amanda had me snorting out loud in laughter at some of her inner dialogue!!

“My lady button was preening like a motherf*cking peacock. She was used to the attention of the vibrating variety, and it was nice to feel something alive and warm—and not battery operated.”

🤣🤣🤣

This is my first book by Carrie Gray and second by Coralee June and I hope to see these two pairing up more in the future.

Highly Recommend!

This book is flipping amazing! It has a great story that keeps you in its grasp to the very end. I loved that the story deals with real life struggles and issues, and does a great job doing so. Oakley and Amanda are fabulous characters. Amanda had me laughing through half the book, and her mom, OMG, she is too funny! The audiobook is fantastic, the Narrator did such a great job bring the story to life. I would highly recommend this book and the audiobook.

Good College Sports Romance

I really enjoyed the narration of this audiobook. The story was good, between hilarious and emotional scenes. The characters were interesting too. Some parts of the book were too over the top for me, but overall Looking to Score was a good entertainment!

Really good

I’ve never read anything by these authors, but I was pleasantly surprised by this book. I really enjoyed it. The beginning was slightly off- putting to me as the female mc came off as stuck up and very insecure, but she grows a lot as the book goes on and her past is brought to light. All in all, I would recommend to anyone looking for a sports romance.
