Everything can change in a second and nothing is ever the same.

Emily had to rebuild her life...her sense of self. How far would she go to hold on to a dream?

Emily Warner moves to Vermont hoping for a fresh start. Anything to forget the past four years. She didn’t plan on the past finding her. And she didn’t plan on Ann Hight. Ann helps Emily through a crisis, and re-awakens emotions Emily thought she would never experience again. For Ann, what she begins to feel for Emily promises everything she never knew she needed. Just when it seems they’ve found the love they’ve yearned for, fate conspires to tear them apart. Even if they can somehow hang on despite all the obstacles thrown at them, Emily still has to face the biggest obstacle of all - herself.

GREAT BOOK!

I loved listening to this book, it was well written and narrated wonderfully. I love that it's about real gay struggles. I felt all the strong emotions while listening. I love that it's more about the story then the sex scenes. highly recommend this book.

Free Ride, come on.

OMG, this one took me to a place where my emotions were open to ALLOW my true self esteem to grow up. It was like a roller coaster ride. Glad I didn’t pass it up. Off to my next adventure.

Story of healing

This was a good one... Emily's character is strong... She came out strong really strong mentally and perhaps emotionally too after they came back together.. Only tiny thing that I didnt like was blocking her 'partner's during the healing process.. that was kind of selfish for her to do... but they came back together..

Endured

Overall a beautiful story told. Loved almost every part from how the two women become friends to having deep feelings to accepting their love toward each other and how they handled misunderstandings. Very sweet!

LOOKING THROUGH WINDOWS

Read the novel and now have listened to the story with Audible. Both the author and the narrator did an excellent job in writing and oral delivery of the story.

Lovely...

A beautiful story of trust and letting go. I love the compassion that Caren J. Werlinger gives to her characters. Great narration by Eileen Stevens, though her German accent does slip a little. :-) She has a pleasant voice. All of Caren's characters and plotlines are interesting. No disappointment. Thankyou for the positive. It does exist.

Excellent story, quite angsty

When I say I’m glad this is not the first Caren J. Werlinger book I read, that might sound like a criticism. But it’s not. She’s good at portraying so many deep emotions without resorting to pathos or cheap tear jerkers.

This is more angst than I’m used to in her books, but it’s understandable, if a bit frustrating.

Narration was well done, too.

I like how Werlinger titles her books after poems. With this one being titled after the same Emily Dickinson poem as Katherine V. Forrest’s Curious Wine is, I’m glad that enough of the poem is quoted here to make that obvious.

Wow

This book was a joy to hear. I’m sure I cried at all the right moments and smiled through the rest of the book. You’re charities were great and the narrator did an amazing job. Well done, I look forward to hearing more of your titles.
