Publisher's summary

Everything is a field of practice - even our dreams. In this liminal, freewheeling talk, Ryushin Sensei explores the nature of dreams, and their usefulness as a source of the "uncanny realm," or, as he puts it, "the un-canned mind," in which our egos become permeable and our minds unhindered by the five senses. What is a dream? What is waking up from a dream? What is it to be awake? The very reality you're in right now is a dream. Practice offers you an opportunity to be lucid within the dream.

A Rare and Brilliantly Intuitive Mind

What did you love best about Life Is But a Dream?

Konrad Ryushin Marchaj possesses a uniquely developed “observer in mind “which allows him to speak with eloquence, heart and clarity on the very subtle and complex paradigms of Zen. Konrad speaks from the “intuitive mind” prospective… far better than any of the other Zen minds that I’ve encountered in my lifetime. If Konrad has the “awareness” to also find the pure logic “solutions” to Koans …his students will have the incredibly rare opportunity to study under an fully “integrated” teacher.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Life Is But a Dream?

Konrad's sense of humor and honesty of "self" embedded within his laughter

What does the narrator bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Konrad is the narrator ..this brings authenticity to the dialog
