Instant Number One New York Times Best Seller

Instant USA Today Best Seller

The long-anticipated sequel to Sister Souljah’s million copy New York Times best seller The Coldest Winter Ever.

Winter Santiaga hit time served. Still stunning, still pretty, still bold, still loves her father more than any man in the world, still got her hustle and high fashion flow. She’s eager to pay back her enemies, rebuild her father’s empire, reset his crown, and ultimately to snatch Midnight back into her life no matter which bitch had him while she was locked up. But Winter is not the only one with revenge on her mind. Simone, Winter’s young business partner and friend, is locked and loaded and Winter is her target. Will she blow Winter’s head off? Can Winter dodge the bullets? Or will at least one bullet blast Winter into another world? Either way Winter is fearless. Hell is the same as any hood and certainly the Brooklyn hood she grew up in. That’s what Winter thinks.

A heartwarming, heart-burning, passionate, sexual, comical, and completely original adventure is about to happen in real time - raw, shocking, soulful, and shameless. True fans won’t let Winter travel alone on this amazing journey.

Critic reviews

"Long fully embodies Winter's brash and bold personality - a small thing like death isn't going to keep the Santiaga princess from claiming her rightful place in this world or the next." (AudioFile Magazine)

Unique angle

I like the the unusual angle the author took us on a journey with. It’s rare for this genre. Winter is a knucklehead but theres plenty of lessons for readers who can relate to her will hopefully learn. I was relieved by the ending.

Not what I expected!

I struggled to complete but the story eventually made sense.. I think she could have explained how Winter navigated her life with her new tenets.

almost lost me at the begining

This book was not what I was expecting. The beginning almost made me think I was not going to enjoy it. It definitely gave you a realistic Viewpoint also very real life circumstances were in this book. Some of it became very intense sexually. Other points talked abt what may be very personal issues...As I continued to read I thought the writer is a complete Mastermind...This was a really good book

I was so disappointed

I wanted fiction not fantasy and after waiting what seems like 100 years I was disappointed. The writing was good, weird but good. Unexpected and while I get the concept and bigger picture this is not what I waited for. A snake,a dog!! I was weirded out by most of these events until chapter 30 something...i digress

Not what I expected but it wasn't terrible

if you're looking for a story similar to the first, you may be disappointed.

The book was...weird. A cautionary tale, which I always like. But it was weird...the demons, the animals, heavy religion, UBS and the fluff/rambling....wtf did I just read?! There were some disturbing scenes. I love that Winter grew up and that Sista Soulja is evolving as an author but I really didn't expect this as the sequel. It was almost like she took several unfinished book ideas and pushed it into this sequel because it was so highly anticipated...

I didn't love this book but I didn't hate it. I can see where and what she was trying to do. but many of the scenes and rambling should've been deleted.

I wish I knew

Where the story was headed before I read it then I could have been a little more open to receive the message I don’t want to give it away but she does step on the neck of Christian faith and pushes Islamic faith on you

Confused

Nia Long did a good job reading this story but it was too confusing and all over the place.

I struggled to finish

This book was disappointing because of the sexist way women are hold accountable for their mistakes but men are free to commit bigamy, sodomy, and worship money without consequences.
