Publisher's summary

Are you interested in learning Spanish but prefer to do it on your own, in your free time, in your car, or at home? Have you been desperately trying to learn the language but simply can’t find a way to take the first steps? Are you looking for the most sensible, quickest, and most reliable way to learn Spanish - where the whole method is backed by reliable scientific research?

If you answered yes to at least one of the questions above, then this guide is exactly for you. For those who’ve despaired of ever learning a foreign language, here, finally, is an audiobook that will make the words stick long-term.

“To have another language is to possess a second soul.” -Charlemagne

Possibly the most feared challenge to learning Spanish is the challenge of memory: there are just too many words and too many rules to remember. For every new word we learn, we seem to forget two old ones, and as a result, fluency can seem out of reach. That is exactly why Learn Spanish in Your Car was written. According to Professor Elfrieda H. Hieber from the University of California, Berkeley, The 100 most frequent words account for about 50 percent of the words in a typical text and the 1000 most frequent words for about 70 percent. Therefore it is evident that the first 1000 words of learning a language can provide you with an immense boost on your journey to master the language.

From Learn Spanish in Your Car you’ll discover:

  • The seven most common contexts to INSTANTLY kickstart your learning process (even if you barely know a word at the moment!)
  • The latest scientific research about language learning combined with a practical guide you will not find on your average Online learning website
  • The single best way to increase your reading and listening comprehension, which enable you to communicate with little or no grammar
  • Funny and entertaining phrases that won’t give you the feeling of learning a new language
  • How this guide can dramatically improve your skills while entertaining you at the same time (It doesn’t feel like work, but the results will amaze you)
  • How a simple grouping of thematic vocabulary lists can take tremendous fear from getting started and make everything suddenly seem 10 times easier
  • The absolute basic 3 areas of phrases you HAVE to know to communicate in Spanish as quickly as possible (You might be missing out tremendously if you don’t know these!)
  • And much, much more!

Even if you have already tried everything else without success, the beginner friendly and systematic choice of words and phrases are based on both practical experience as a native speaker and the latest scientific research. Thus, Learn Spanish in Your Car is your shortcut to master the hard beginning in the easiest way possible. Buy this audiobook now! not a great way to learn moves entirely to fast from simply word and numbers to random phrases . awful for in the car. requires to much paging back to listen. to things. I would give this book negative numbers but it isn't possible.

Disappointing

It was frustrating listening to the speaker number each sentence. Although they state suitable for beginners it is not. Very difficult to understand for me. Maybe better for advanced student🙁

Not a good book for the car

There was no way for me to do this in the car. the phrases and sentences get to be complex and fast. you can't concentrate on repeating while concentrating on driving.

Not For Me

This is quite literally what the title says it is. it's a guy. counting down phrases to 1001. And its scentances I would never use such as "number 64. My second cousin won 2 million dollars in the lottery" there are no break downs or meaning explanations. just reading off scentances and phrases. I bought it based on reviews. Maybe a great way for some to learn. Not for me.

Limited Usefulness

This audiobook is great in concept, but it's disappointing. It's a recitation of hundreds and hundreds of phrases, each one stated once in English and then twice in Spanish, by a non-native Spanish speaker. It’s annoying when his Spanish pronunciation is wrong, especially when the letters g, gu, or u are involved. Some phrases are idiomatic expressions, some are just phrases, and some are totally absurd. The book seems to have been written by a native Spanish speaker who is not fully fluent in English and who didn’t bother to have it proofread by someone who is. Here is a sample of some of the odd phrases you will learn: #55 The day is very colorful. #63 I was on an intermediate position there. #182 The rupture with her girlfriend left him hit and sunk. #187 I feel as if I had received a beat up. And do we really need to know how to say #142 “Urbanistic law only allows for embellishments of the decorative elements”? I'm not sure what book the reviewers listened to who gave it 5 stars. It does not deserve a high rating!
