Awesome book on leadership for the 21st century

This book is awesome because it really gets down to the more modern style of management and leadership that’s effective in 2023. I got my masters in I/O psychology and did my capstone project on leadership. I’m always curious to see what other people have to say about how to be a good leader, and this book includes many of the things I learned in grad school. It emphasizes the type of leadership where you lead by example, how to keep your employees (high turnover is such a problem today), and how to best communicate with your team.

I highly recommend!

Leadership By Design

In education, one of the biggest challenges for human resources in the post-pandemic era is recruiting and retaining high-quality teachers and staff. Authoritative managerial styles don’t work anymore. Today’s employees aren’t interested in blindly taking orders from the top and working dead-end jobs. This book about leadership should be read and kept in the desk drawer to pull out to read or listen to help guide self-improvement. For schools, the key is to build a culture and climate of learning where the organization recruits employees who feel invested in the school’s success. They have to want the same things you want. They have to feel empowered to make good decisions. A true leader shows empathy, communicates effectively and builds trust: skills you can use to drive success. I highly recommend this book for your professional library. Read, listen, and apply!
