David Zaoui est un réalisateur et écrivain français. Il a réalisé des courts métrages, depuis l'âge de 13 ans, dans la cité du 93 où il a vécu et a grandi. Ensuite, il est rentré au cours Florent, il y a appris la mise en scène et puis le théâtre. Il a fait des petits boulots pour payer ses cours et il continuait de réaliser ses courts métrages. Il a ensuite réalisé des clips, produit d'autres courts métrages, multiplié les jobs, beaucoup voyagé. Zaoui a travaillé comme réalisateur et producteur dans le cinéma pendant plusieurs années, notamment aux États-Unis.
Lauréat du Festival du premier roman de Chambéry 2018 pour Je suis un tueur humaniste, il se consacre aujourd'hui à l'écriture.
Sois toi-même, tous les autres sont déjà pris, paru en 2019 aux éditions Jean-Claude Lattès, est son deuxième roman, et Le financier en chef, paru en 2020 aux éditions Jean-Claude Lattès, est son troisième roman.
