Best language training program available

This program combines calm music with pleasent sounding voices to teach Italian. While there are very useful survival phrases, the program builds a solid foundation that will support a continued study of Italian.

I am listening to Rapid Italian vol. 1 as I type this review.
I find that I don't really need to concentrate too much on it as I listen.
I can multi task and still, "get the job done"
I have bought Vol. 2 also, but am still listening to Vol 1. ( Vol 1 would have probably been fine !)
I love listening to this easy listening volume.
Can't believe how much Im learning.
I actually listen to this on quite a high speed, and that is great also. That way it never gets too boring, varying the speed one day to the next.
Highly recommended for a fun and educational listen. It really works!
My husband, who usually learns by studying pages of the written words, is enjoying this way of learning also.

For beginners only

Cute and fun, but probably only worth listening to if you are a completely new student to the Italian language. I actually enjoy the concept of audio reinforcement through repetition and I did like the music. This by itself will not teach you to speak Italian, but if you are new and using another more comprehensive method, this could be a nice supplement for listening and learning new vocabulary.

Fun and easy to learn!

The music, the beat, and the way the words are presented and repeated by the performers is outstanding! This is hands-down my favorite way of learning another language, especially Italian. I look forward to listening to this often to refresh my memory. I wish there were more than three episodes. Hint hint!

Cognitively Infectious

I downloaded this program because I’m planning a trip to Italy and was intrigued by the teaching concept. The method used is based on “earworms,” you know, when you get a song in your head that keeps repeating itself over and over again. The language lessons are presented as songs in a melodic, rhythmic and repetitious way. All I can say is, “this works!” I even find myself wanting to listen to these lessons. After listening to Rapid Italian I’ve gone back to my traditional tapes and found I couldn’t bare the mind crushing boredom. Earworms Learning is on to something here and I’m looking forward to their future offerings. They offer a free, downloadable booklet to accompany the lessons that is also very useful. Highly recommended.

Short but effective

Yes, you won't be to natives after 1 hr and 10 minutes of listening to this lesson, but I will guarantee that you will get more retention than you would with other language series. This stuff is so ingenious. Setting the monotonous language learning process to music (which is scientifically proven to aid in retention) is great. The music isn't bad, some of it is rather catchy, and I enjoy listening to the Italian woman speak. I wished they made more than two levels because I am addicted. Definitely recommended.

Unexpected Pleasure

I listened to the sample and thought this absolutely ridiculous. I'm not going like it. It's too over the top and the material is not interesting. So, I moved on. Then, I sat in my room for a while. Guess what popped into my head. The music and the Italian phrase for "I would like a coffee with milk". Just like that I had spoken some Italian, with not too much struggle. Still, I wasn't convinced. So, I went on YouTube. Deliberately, I searched for Earworms Italian to see if I could get some freebies. I found track 2 of Volume 2 and fell in love with it. I had to have more. I had to listen to more. So I listened to that free track over and over again. Learned some Italian and then came back to Audible and got all 3 volumes. I am not disappointed. Ciao!

Fun and a bit passive which is nice

After training with flash cards, Duolingo, and Pimsleur I really look forward to these audiobooks with relaxing music. It’s a nice way to take in a bit more Italian this way.
