Nothing complicated here folks. You just plug it in, listen, repeat, practice, create, laugh. Never a dull moment. Why? Because you’re always learning to speak Spanish with Power Spanish.
I’m not going to exagerate and say that I’m fluent, but I will say that I can speak a heck of a lot of Spanish that everyone here in California understands. Even people from Spain and Colombia can understand me, I me them.
The listening guide helped me too, but nothing helped more that a ton of native Spanish speakers with Mark Frobose explaining everything with shortcuts, tips, advice, and fun memory games to keep me learning. The sentence creation stuff is cool too. Very creative.

I already know SOME Spanish, and it is with that bent that I review this audiobook. I find it helpful to review the Spanish I know and to learn more as I do that. But there are things I don't like about it.

Some of the translations he gives are technically wrong. For example, he says to say "what is your name?" you say "como se llama usted?" Technically, "what is your name" should be "cual es su nombre?" and "como se llama usted" means "what are you called?" or "what do they call you?" It is the way you ask someone their name, but it is not how to say "what is your name?" There's a difference.

I am at the end of chapter 2 and he has not yet explained basic verb conjugation. He just says "quiero" means "I want" and "quiecera" is "I would like," without explaining that these are different conjugations.

He says "Hablo pocito Espanol" means "I speak a little Spanish." Then says "a little" is "poco." Now _I_ know that the "ito" on the end means "very," so that means "I speak very little Spanish." See what I mean? These little differences could really trip up someone trying to learn Spanish.

The other thing I don't like is his use of multiple native speakers from all over the world that pronounce things very differently. Sometimes they say "yo," and other times they say "jo" (soft j). Sometimes they roll their "r" at the beginning of a word like "repita" where other times they don't. Most Americans are going to interact w/people from Latin America and I think he should pick that accent and sitck with it.

Other than that I do like it.

I could not be happier with any other Spanish program. After trying tons of other programs from Paul Noble, Berlitz, Living Language, and even Rosetta Stone, I can say that nothing, and I mean NADA compares to the genius approach of Power Spanish. I am getting RESULTS. Results are everything, and the rest is bull.

I have tried several other Spanish language lesson audio books and I have found that the ones by Mark Frobose are the best. You cannot go wrong with any of them. He uses several speakers and teaches you how to notice and speak the different accents.

Love this audio!

I have been trying to learn some Spanish for an upcoming trip but was having little luck finding the perfect learning tool. I tried Rocket Language, Spanish 1001 Phrases, Dualingo and a Quick Start Conversational Spanish Guide Book. Thus far, I find Dualingo + Power Spanish Accelerated the best modes for me to learn. In less than a week I have several new phrases in my growing Spanish lexicon. Highly recommend this + Dualingo.

Never thought that learning Spanish could be so easy and so much fun. This fabulous program made it possible for me to create my own original sentences right away. Learned various vocabulary words and how to use them in context. Different Spanish speakers build confidence and accent and go at a pace that you can catch easily. Friendly and awesome narration in English so you understand what's going on. Uses memorizing technique - goes slow, fast, repeats and reviews.

Never boring, intense program that makes learning a new language enjoyable while on the go. Learning Spanish speaking was never so easy for me before this. Really worked for me and comes at a great price too. Based on my results, (I actually became conversational in Spanish with this program;

A Step Above Other Programs

My experience with Power Spanish I has been very positive. A generous amount of vocabulary, a whole host of native Spanish speakers, a blend of kind and easy-to-understand real-life examples, ample opportunity to practice accent, tons of memory practice, and a format that is totally enjoyable and entertaining. I am really learning to speak Spanish, understand Spanish, and I'm enjoying every minute of it. No comparison to any other Spanish program I have used and I have used many. Paul Noble, Berlitz, Pimsleur, Rosetta Stone, etc ... They all have some little items I have gleaned from them, but only Power Spanish put it all together in a way that I can remember what I learned, understand what I learned, and yes, USE and SPEAK the Spanish that I learn every day. A must buy.

Probably the fastest way to learn Spanish

I've tried just about everything. Buying textbooks, YouTube videos, Rosetta Stone, Duolingo, but this program just worked the best for me.

I highly suggest you taking notes using a translator to help decipher and see how things are spelled as you complete the program and add the notes to a program like Anki. The audiobook does a lot of reinforcing but this will help you really practice and drill the phrases your week at. By the end of the program I had to pause and rewind less because I could understand what was being said and asked throughout the audiobook.

As the audiobook states this will NOT get you fluent, HOWEVER since moving and living in a Spanish I feel a lot more confident to have a conversation than I did before this program. in fact I've had several basic conversations when I go out and someone asks where I'm from, what I'm doing here, where do I live, etc. thanks to this audiobook.

I can also pick apart things that people are saying and figure out what they're saying even though I may not have understood the complete sentence.

I would HIGHLY recommend this book to anyone who wants to learn spanish. I would use other programs as vocabulary builders or just to further immersify you in the language, but you absolutely need this in your arsenal. I will be continuing with power spanish II and leave another review on there.
