This technique to learn the language worked great for me. It moves right along, Mark's voice is great and the Italian speaker is very clear and easy to imitate. It is the best audio only language learning tool that I use. I wish there was a #3 Excelerated!
This is my second Mark Frobose audio. The Verb audio book is too similar so I sent in back.
It is a great addition to my language learning. Thanks for all the work to put it together, Mark and team.
I love this program. Power Italian 2 picks up where Power Italian I leaves off. More advanced material, more excellent explanations. My ability to communicate in Italian, both in speaking and understanding the language, is skyrocketing. My Italian in-laws can't get over the fact that I even know expressions that only the Italians know.
Power Italian 2 is sort of a contradiction between amazingly simple and incredibly complex all rolled into one fabulous method.
I don’t know how Frobose can simplify all of this, but I have to say that I have learned to speak more Italian and even past and future tenses with this program than with all the others I have tried COMBINED.
He’ll give you a complex sentence and then ask “What part of that means …..?”. He breaks down the complex stuff bit by bit so you actually understand it. THEN he lets you build it on your own, form your own sentences, etc …
Light years ahead of his competition. None of the Italian programs out there remotely approaches the excellence of this approach.
I am german, italian level A2, living in Rome for 4 months now, learned grammar and stuff for 2 years. I tried pimsler, michel thomas as well as audio material from huber. Apps pff, everything including babble, pons, bable.
With this audio book from Mark Frobose i absolutely completed my setting: Grammar with FluenZ, Practice with Duolingo, Grammar-Book (german) Huber Große Lerngrammatik AND THIS AUDIOBOOK. I am happy :D. Other reviews talked about Marks voice, that's true! Really calm, deep and positive. Sometimes he jokes which is really dry and therefore utterly funny. The structure ia amazing! The system never changes so there are no irritating and annoying mistakes. The material is good for all level from entry to A2 i guess. I can go on and on, just try it out for yourself :)
I used Power Italian I with great success and now I'm building on that to learn and speak even more Italian with Power Italian 2. Great grammar explanations by Mark that explain how the different verbs work in sentences, And then, just simplified practice that does not require grammar at all. Just imitation. More of the best in Italian instruction. Love Mark and Hilaria' voices too.
The format and interaction makes learning Italian simpler and attention grabbing. I really liked Mark Frobose' voice and the way he interacts with and Italian speaker. He teaches key grammar through drills and situations.
Re-learning and reinforcing Essere and Avere has been great, as well as the vocabulary you can use daily.
I loved Mark Frobose. He sounds like Anthony Bordain; strong deep voice.
It's too long to complete in one sitting! It's 7-8 hours and pretty intensive.
I learned to speak a lot of Italian from Power Italian 1 and Itaian Sentence Magic.
Now I'm using Power Italian 2.
Even though Power Italian 2 is more advanced, you just don't feel it. It challenges you to learn, to remember, to put words together, to speak, to understand at a higher level than with Power Italian 1 but you never feel stressed out about it.
I like the clear voices and the fact that I never have to guess. Great way to learn Italian
Too easy, repetitive & drawn out. This would be fine for a basic LOW intermediate level or advanced beginner...so hard to find something at just the right level
