"Challenging and Friendly Mexican Spanish Program"
    Any additional comments?

I've been looking for a good Mexican language program for a long time and I found it here. It made me reasonably conversational in real Mexican Spanish in just a few weeks of semi-intense study during my down time in the car and while working out at the gym. I liked the complete illustration of differences between Spanish speaking in Mexico compared to other Spanish speaking countries. No guessing, full explanations. Mark the narrator/teacher explains, along with some great Mexican Spanish speakers. I also learned a lot of common Mexican phrases Real bang for the buck on this program.

Excellent approach that teaches the little-known nuances between standard and Mexican Spanish.

"Great Accents - Really Taught Me Mexican Spanish"
    Any additional comments?

From the get-go this program really taught me the difference between standard Spanish and Mexican Spanish.

The detail and attention that the creators of the program put into explaining and demonstrating accents within Mexico and then comparing them to other Spanish speaking countries is one-of-a-kind. That alone makes this program worth the money.

But then you have the Mexican words, the detailed explanation that "tomato" and "chocolate" are Aztec Indian words.

This is not a common run of the mill Spanish program.

This is an exceptionally high quality Mexican Spanish program that has really increased my understanding and ability to communicate with Mexican Spanish speakers.

    Excellent in every way.

    "Good for advanced beginners."

I would not recommend this for levels above advanced beginners. I agree that repetition is the mother of success, but repetition here is slightly overdone.

    "Andale. Talk Like a Mexican"
    Any additional comments?

According to my wife's family, I'm now speaking like a real Mexican thanks to Mexican Spanish Accelerated. I had to get all of that high school Castilian garbage out of my mind and concentrate on the Mexican dialect. Wife is Mexican and has a huge family. They love me more now that I speak their language. Ha.

"Super Price & Learning Speed of Mexican Spanish"

I quickly learned to speak a ton of real Mexican Spanish from this unique, fun and effective program. My opinion is that anyone from businesspersons to Spanish language students, from restaurant-goers to travelers considering a trip to Mexico will find “Mexican Spanish Accelerated” to be the essential "icing" on their Spanish learning cake! The fusion of Old World Castilian Spanish from Spain and New World Native languages and cultures of Mexico have given rise to a myriad of unique words and expressions which originated in and are largely confined to Spanish speakers from Mexico.

Mexican Spanish Accelerated contains a lot more than just words and phrases unique to Mexico. Standard, universal sentence-building Spanish phrases like ‘I have to,’ ‘I would like,’ ‘I want,’ ‘I need,’ ‘I am going to,’ and so on, prepare the beginner for fast and original sentence creation and prepare the learner for a great adventure south of the Río Grande – or “El Río Bravo” as they call it in Mexico. A variety of folk expressions are also taught by the narrator and his three or four Mexican instructors who are all educated native speakers of authentic Mexican Spanish.

Both the price of this audio program and the speed at which it teaches you to speak real Mexican Spanish are unbeatable. Spanish language students and vacationers will all benefit from Mexican Spanish Accelerated as much as I did. So click on over to Audible.com, download Mexican Spanish Accelerated, and discover how things are said down Mexico way. Ándale! - Go for it!

    "Mexican Spanish"
Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?

I'd say it's time well spent. There are just some pitfalls to look out for. The woman in the audio uses the effeminate central mexico pronunciation of SH at words ending in R. Not always but most of the time. It's kind of confusing especially when she sometimes does it and sometimes doesn't...all with no explanation. I had to find this out by accident. A man that talks like this is going to come across as a stereo-typical gay if he goes around doing that. I could write that that is okay...but it's really not. The author of this should have mentioned this.

What was most disappointing about Mark Frobose’s story?

The woman using SH on words ending in R. Mark should have mentioned this up front.

Who would you have cast as narrator instead of Mark Frobose?

    Mark does an okay job.

Was Mexican Spanish Accelerated - 8 One Hour Audio Lessons (English and Spanish Edition) worth the listening time?

I appreciate that there is an audiobook for mexican spanish. It's time well spent; I had to learn outside the material about some mispronunciations so that was funny... I think the woman who is going all in with the effeminate pronunciations is doing the listeners a disservice by not speaking normally or at least warning the male listeners that they are going to sound like pansy's if they imitate her. Also, try not to judge this material by the first chapter of material...I almost did. It gets much better later starting in Chapter 2.

    Any additional comments?

Please update the audiobook to address my other comments. Thanks for releasing this. I live in San Diego and am starting to understand the mexican radio stations and people I hear around town. I'm pretty confident I'm going to get better.

    "Very disjointed"
What could have made this a 4 or 5-star listening experience for you?

I felt like I was listening to this on shuffle mode. The idea is good, but it's like no one went back and looked at the flow and continuity. He'll say - "recall from memory" - some phrase they have not covered yet. In the middle of covering one things - they jump to something else.

    "so-so"
Is there anything you would change about this book?

I was using this as a refresher, as I have some experience with the Spanish language. The sh sound after words that end in r was confusing. I asked colleagues that are from Mexico and none of them use that pronunciation. Also maybe I have a defective download but the lessons seemed to jump around. Mid lesson they would abruptly change to different topic. It would eventually come back around but I did not like the way it happened. Other than that most of the lessons were good and got across the basic content. Some of the vocabulary and topics might not be relevant to people that are just learning Spanish for travel.

If you’ve listened to books by Mark Frobose before, how does this one compare?

I have not listened to other books by Mark Frobose

What three words best describe Mark Frobose’s voice?

His voice and the voices of the other narrators are fine. Although sometimes they speak slowly as you would when teaching a language, a little too slow for me though. Then sometimes they spoke really fast so I had to rewind to catch what they said.

Did Mexican Spanish Accelerated - 8 One Hour Audio Lessons (English and Spanish Edition) inspire you to do anything?

I really want to keep working on improving my Spanish so I can speak more fluently and comprehend the more rapid speech.

    Any additional comments?

A supplementary pdf with the vocabulary spelled out would have been helpful for me. I do enjoy the audio format so I can make my commute useful. However sometimes when I could not quite make out a word it would be helpful if I could look it up later.

    "At Last Real Mexican Spanish"
    Any additional comments?

I love to watch Mexican soap operas and my friends and I LOVE Mexican food and we even take a trip down to the Riviera Maya once a year.
In short, I have been needing to learn REAL Mexican Spanish for some time, but I never found a program that featured real Mexican speakers and a nice, informative gringo instructor like Mark Frobose to explain the “Mexican Spanish System” so clearly.
I have learned to speak and understand so much Mexican Spanish from Mexican Spanish Accelerated that I can’t believe it. Mexican people really love you when you actually “speak their language”. Mexican Spanish is different from other forms of Spanish, and this is sort of a “fast track” course to learning how to speak like a native Mexican would.
This is a really useful program if you know anyone who’s Mexican and want to talk to them in THEIR language, if you’re married to someone or dating someone from Mexico, if you like to eat in Mexican restaurants, if you travel to Mexico on vacation or for business. WHATEVER. This is a cool course that really worked wonders for me.

"Great Program – Perfect Repetition Practice"
    Any additional comments?

The negative reviews on this program are laughable. Not only is this the only effective program that teaches real Mexican Spanish that I have found on the market, it does it amazingly with a memory technique that uses timed repetition. Brilliant.

Another dufus wrote a review about not liking a common pronunciation of the Mexican Spanish “r”. It’s obvious that he or she never lived or traveled in Mexico since so many people speak Spanish like this down here.

This is the real deal. Buy it.
