Publisher's Summary

Collins Spanish with Paul Noble combines an exciting, new, non-traditional approach to language learning with the easy, relaxed appeal of an audio-only product. No books. No rote memorisation. No chance of failure.

Paul Noble is a genius with a higher IQ than Einstein. Despite this, he still struggled with language learning at school. He found himself feeling 'confused, incapable and unable to really say anything'. As a result of his negative early experiences, Paul has come up with a ground-breaking new method of language teaching that removes the need for months of studying. With Paul Noble, everyone really can speak a language.

Part 2 of the course covers:

  • Travelling by bus and train
  • Making reservations
  • Asking for directions
  • Past tense

Two native-speaking Spanish experts help Paul to deliver the course and to perfect your pronunciation in both Latin American and Iberian Spanish. No complicated grammatical explanations, no rote memorisation, no writing - no stress. Learn over 6,000 words in no time at all and - most importantly - learn how to make your new vocabulary work for you. (Use the accompanying booklet as a reference and revision tool.)

Great teaching. Fastest learning method I've seen. Useful immediately. I've got all the audiobooks in the series and can't wait to get to the next one.

    "Good way to learn Spanish!"

This is a little different than trying to memorize vocabulary. He does a great way of teaching you how to put sentences together and put your thoughts into words without over thinking it. I just finished part 2 and am about to start part 3. I recommend this series.

    "Great way to learn Spanish"

The conversational repetition is so helpful by "building" a vocabulary as you go. What a great way to learn. I love his method of participation but don't worry about getting it right because the repetition helps increase the understanding as you go.

    "better teaching style"

I enjoy the way he explains the meanings and allows just enough time for me to internally process the word to practice it out load before the native speakers chime in. He subtlety uses repetition to ingrain these words in your brain. I am going to buy #3.

The learning experience was excellent. I have listened to the audio primarily in my car. I think the pace and repetition are very good for a consistent and relaxing learning experience. I will complete all the spanish audio tapes

"Accessible!! I can actually keep up!"

Paul does a great job at delivering the information you need, in the order needed, without extras that aren't useful. He is clear, pleasant, and I'm looking forward to listening to his program for as far as it goes so I can really, actually feel good about my ability to speak Spanish well. Thanks, Paul.

    "Really Helpful"

I like the way Paul builds up from basics with repetition. It is sometimes a bit frustrating when you've "got it" but stick with it as you get to learn a lot in a short time. I like using it over to revise.

    "Frustrating sequel"

If you've worked though episode 1 from scratch the pace is good for new learners and episode 2 does revise and build on topics and vocabulary to back up his 'not remembering' method of natural learning.
BUT... eventually the repetition gets so monotonous. I never want to hear 'ado like bravado' or 'ido like libido' again. Worse though is the amount of English used. What seems forever explaining what a noun and pronoun is, in English! It could easily have been 10 minutes or more of dead time, and so often the explanations in English are just too verbose. I almost lost the will to live during the second half.
A poor and frustrating sequel to a good start. Hoping for better from episode 3.
