Collins Spanish with Paul Noble combines an exciting, new, non-traditional approach to language learning with the easy, relaxed appeal of an audio-only product. No books. No rote memorisation. No chance of failure.
Paul Noble is a genius with a higher IQ than Einstein. Despite this, he still struggled with language learning at school. He found himself feeling 'confused, incapable, and unable to really say anything'. As a result of his negative early experiences, Paul has come up with a ground-breaking new method of language teaching that removes the need for months of studying. With Paul Noble, everyone really can speak a language.
Part 1 of the course covers:
Two native-speaking Spanish experts help Paul to deliver the course and to perfect your pronunciation. No complicated grammatical explanations, no rote memorisation, no writing - no stress. Learn over 6,000 words in no time at all and - most importantly - learn how to make your new vocabulary work for you. (Use the accompanying booklet as a reference and revision tool.)

Puedo hablar español (a little)! I am an aspiring Guidance Counselor, and want to learn spanish to communicate better with parents and students. I learned so much. Listened to it on my 40 minute commute to and from work. Only gripe is sometimes I wished that I could have gotten a spelling of what was being spoken (as I am a visual learner). However, not seeing the spelling beforehand helped with more accurate pronunciation. I will recommend this system. About to buy next lesson now..
It can come back fairly quickly, but it does take some concentration. However, Paul Noble DOES keep reviewing & adding new phrases in both Spain's dialect & South American Spanish, which means you don't memorize exactly...it is more natural. I did both French & German first parts also, which I had not studied, and did find that they were natural & I was encouraged. Now if I could only make my mouth pronounce as well as I can hear... This program seems to be a poor imitation of my favorite all time Spanish course, Power Spanish Accelerated by Mark Frobose.
The voices on the Paul Noble program are not nearly as pleasant with Power Spanish and the actual learning that I experienced with Noble was pitiful in comparison to what I learned for the Power Spanish series by Frobose.
Still, for the price, you save a few bucks by buying the Noble program and you’ll still learn some Spanish
I took three years of Spanish in high school, over 30 years ago. Most of the beginner Spanish audio books I listen to or to Elimentary, but the intermediate ones were too difficult. Paul's purports to be for beginners, but quickly covers what I consider more advanced material, including preterite, past perfect, and even a subjunctive verb tense. The way he covers it, you don't have to realize what these tenses are, but if you've been exposed to it before it is a wonderful review. I just wish his speaking rate was faster; he sounds in urgent need of a coffee.
The instructions were simple and he really knows how your brain works. When I would make a mistake he would be spot on telling me why I made that mistake and, wouldn't you know, I would stop making the mistake. I listened to the the CD straight through and I am already more confident with my Spanish speaking abilities. I'm definitely going to order the rest of this series.
They way he would catch my mistakes. It was almost like he was talking directly to me in the classroom. It was fantastic. He explains things very clearly in a language that you can understand.
This was the first time, but surely it will not be the last.
The best way to learn a language.
Love this audiobook! In the beginning Collins talks about the struggles most people go through when trying to learn new a language. Collins then stated his way of teaching is set up for success! AND HE WAS RIGHT! I would recommend this to any and everyone interested in learning the language.
Like most K-12 graduates, I took multiple language classes in school, of which I remember very little. But this course is the first tool that has actually taught me to communicate not just recite. Onto the next book!
good place to start but don't count on being able to understand people when they talk to you.
Best tool for grammar. Use this as your foundation then add in Duolingo and Fluenz. Then get a latin lover and you will ve fluent.
Tried it on a trial and got it done in 3 days not even with effort. Just chuck the ear phones in and you're away. Loved it! First ever audio tape as well. If the speed is an issue, just edit it!
"Been learning Spanish for a few months"
Been learning Spanish for a few months and this was a great audio book, well worth it
this is a slightly different slant on spanish e learning. i loved it, found it very useful and return to it whenever i need a refresher
"Surprising how easy I remember things!"
This is my first time learning Spanish and this book really made it easy, just listening in my car on the way to work. I have only listened to Part 1 so far but I have remembered pretty much everything and feel I have enough Spanish to get by on a basic level. On to Part 2!
Just played it in the car each time I drove to work and it's remarkably effective!!!
This is the best language related product I've ever bought. just sit back and relax.
The CD version comes with a booklet so I'm a bit disappointed that audio download does not have a link to download and print that booklet. Other then that I like it.
For context, I've studied Spanish via computer, books, apps, private tutorial, immersion classes and become so utterly dejected (and at times, so acutely frustrated that I've felt a degree of anger) at my inability to pick up the language. It's been a horrid challenge - until now! For her first time, I feel like I am both learning and **retaining** some Spanish. Absolutely thrilled and couldn't recommend Audio Book 1 more highly!
