Collins Italian with Paul Noble combines an exciting, new, non-traditional approach to language learning with the easy, relaxed appeal of an audio-only product. No books. No rote memorisation. No chance of failure.
Paul Noble is a genius with a higher IQ than Einstein. Despite this, he still struggled with language learning at school. With Paul Noble, everyone really can speak a language.
Part 2 of the course covers:
A native-speaking Italian expert helps Paul to deliver the course and to perfect your pronunciation. No complicated grammatical explanations, no writing - no stress. Learn over 6,000 words in no time at all and - most importantly - learn how to make your new vocabulary work for you. (Use the accompanying booklet as a reference and revision tool.)

I've tried just about every way out there to learn Italian, including studying the language in college and even living in Italy for a few months. I learned a lot of the technicalities but couldn't get to the point I was comfortable putting it all together. This system is by far the best I've ever tried and is finally getting me where I wanted to be. He gives simple, practical direction on verb conjugations and you learn quickly. I'm onto level four now and feel like I'm finally putting the language together after just two weeks listening to this system on my commute to work. I'm more comfortable speaking than ever before, and just so happy I found this. Fabulous language system at a fabulous price!
I would prefer more advanced material but this is great for someone who can't get the hang of the basics.
Just finished level two and I am excited to purchase level three. I like the course and enjoy how Paul doesn't waste time reviewing from first level to the second level. it's a very smooth transition. highly recommend
"Great introduction to the language"
I found this a great introduction to the language. Repetitive - but that's the point. It helps you to build up vocabulary and use it to make sentences, rather than just learning a set of possibly useful phrases you might need if you are on holiday. It gave the basic knowledge and understanding of how Italian works and gave me the confidence to try some more comprehensive language courses and build on the grammar.
"One step further!"
I have just listened to the second part of Paul Noble's course in Italian, and by now I find myself speaking whole sentences in Italian! It's amazing how quickly you learn by using this series, and although it is very basic, it gives you a great understanding of how the language is constructed…or at least some of it.
I've been through book 1 and 2 twice now, and am half way through the 3rd. It is getting progressively more difficult, but not unmanageable. I love how he mainly focuses on the grammar and less on the vocabulary, but new words are often introduced and are relatively easy to remember as you are constantly being reminded of them.
I doubt I will ever become fluent in Italian, but it is great being able to pick out words and sentences when watching italian movies, or reading italian news online. And as for my upcoming holiday, I can't wait to test out my skills! :-D
"good intro to the basics."
I have completed 1&2 and there's no doubt you learn what is taught. However I have completed all Michel Thomas Italian courses and I feel there is far more content with Michel that is probably due to Paul's avid approach to reinforcement and repetition. Both teaching styles are similar but to someone completely new to Italian and who has struggled with language learning in the past then Paul Noble is the best option he really has simplified learning a language.
"A step up from Level 1 and still manageable"
Satisfaction of getting it right and learning so much so quickly
It feels like a big step up from Level one at first but still follows a logical progression and repeating sections helps me to remember more. There is a big review section from Level one and I found words and phrases just started to come naturally. I am really enjoying learning Italian this way.
