One of my all time favorites. Great story and well read. Simple and easy to follow, yet deep and full of meaning on so many different levels.

Wonderful family story

A classic for families still. Still teaches lessons we all need to hear. We listened as a family on a road trip.

Love this book

Never been a huge reader but when I was in elementary school I started this book and never finished it until now and I’m going to start listening to books more often. It’s always been hard to read for me due to ADHD but I love listening to it while I’m at work

Effortless way to enjoy a classic.

My 10 year old son, 24 year old cousin, and I found listening to this timeless American classic novel on our road trip an enjoyable way to pass the time. Listening allowed us more than 75% of the drive with no screen time, just abstract thought and effortless listening. The narrator speaks in excellent dictation and changes voices for characters which seemed odd to me at first but made discerning character conversation a breeze. Yes, just do it. It's a great story about a young boy who works hard for his goals and reaps the reward for his hard work.

Such a great story for boys!

We loved listening to this book. Although it is an awfully sad ending, it is such an incredible book for boys! They completely connect with Billy and are able to really soak in every part of the story!

So engaging the whole way through.

Loved this book. I never read it as a child and after finishing this audio book in 2 days, I can’t wait to share it with my boys. It’s full of adventure the whole way through. I 100% recommend it.

Fantastic!

I loved this book as a child. It was wonderful - beautifully read. I listen to books when I work out at the gym. I think that the people around me must of thought I was crazy - at the end of the book I was on the treadmill and tears were running down my face and my nose was running. Just a wonderful, fabulous book and great reader.
