The sequel to The Lightning Thief, Percy Jackson and The Sea of Monsters is now available to download, unabridged, on audio.
Percy Jackson has had a quiet year. Not a single monster has set foot in his New York school. But when a game of dodgeball turns into a death match against an ugly gang of cannibal giants, things get . . . well, ugly.
And then Percy's friend Annabeth brings more bad news: the magical borders that protect Camp Half-Blood have been poisoned, and the only safe haven for young demigods is under threat.
To save their camp, Percy and his friends must embark on a quest that will take them into the treacherous Sea of Monsters and a desperate fight for their lives . . .

"Good book, shame about the reader..."
A great children's story - I like how it weaves a modern story in with elements of Ancient Greek Mythology. The main character can be painfully obtuse at times but you don't really mind that too much.
I have to say the my only gripe is the person reading it. Maybe it's me but he seems to be awful at putting expression in to dialogue and given that this story is written in the first person it can make it difficult to enjoy.
Still, once you do get past the narrator it's still a good yarn.
"We love these books!"
Up there with Harry Potter
I have three children - 6,8 and 10 and they have all loved all of these books. We've listened to three in a week!
"Percy does it again"
This time our hero rushes off and manages to snatch victory from the jaws of defeat upsetting Luke, Cronus and Clarissa. so what's new!
"This narrator is abysmal"
The story is great but I came so close to turning this off because the narrator is unbelievably annoying. His inflections are all off, leaving sentences hanging in midair like a question for no good reason. His falsetto voice he uses for every female character is also grating. I'd definitely vote you buy the book, and skip this torture!!
"Much better than the film"
Best enjoyed with a Monster Donut. But beware of the Hydra.
Percy messes up in school for the umpteenth time and is sent away camp again. He gets grounded at camp and with the help of Hermes escapes to do new deeds.
Thankfylly, as we are now all safe.
As all books in the series, full of good humour and a fluent storytelling.
You will not regret this.
I found the audio book, very good to listen to. Expecially for me as get bored very quickly and could take it all in. Can't wait until the next book.
