Don't like narrator

I have always loved these books but L.J. Gander uses strange voices to most of the characters.

Pretty good!

I liked the book, but the narrator was just not quite right. The voices are hard to tell apart. Other than that, I liked it a lot!!!

Audible, you're ridiculous!!!

Audible, this is ridiculous!!! I just wanted to rate this book and not write a review. Having to write reviews in order to rate has prevented me from rating at all. I just want to give props to enjoyable reads . I will just copy and paste this "review" going forward.

Another Fun One

Would you try another book from Michael Buckley and/or L. J. Ganser?

Buckley writes fun books but Ganser definitely makes them better with his narration.

Would you be willing to try another book from Michael Buckley? Why or why not?

This is my 3rd Buckley book in this series. He writes imaginative stories, but I find his character development lacking.

Have you listened to any of L. J. Ganser???s other performances before? How does this one compare?

This is the only series of books I have read with Ganser performing. His voices are well developed and entertaining which added a lot to these books for me.

Was The Problem Child worth the listening time?

I am very glad I listened to these instead of sight reading them.

more for adolescents than children

I've known parents who scolded their children for saying "butt-head," so you can imagine how multiple occasions of "Doody Face" written in indelible ink on the face of one character by another and referred to liberally in the narration might not be such a good example for children. Because of that and multiple other examples, I doubt that these books will become "classics." There are multiple occasions of potty humor and hideous images much more "suitable" for adolescents ... or even adults.
