Publisher's summary

Bobby Pendragon is a seemingly normal 14-year-old boy. He has a family, a home, and even Marley, his beloved dog. But there is something very special about Bobby: he is going to save the world.

And not just Earth as we know it. Bobby is slowly starting to realize that life in the cosmos isn't quite what he thought it was. And before he can object, he is swept off to an alternate dimension known as Denduron, a territory inhabited by strange beings, ruled by a magical tyrant, and plagued by dangerous revolution.

If Bobby wants to see his family again, he's going to have to accept his role as savior and accept it wholeheartedly. Because, as he is about to discover, Denduron is only the beginning.

great book

I really enjoy the pendragon series but when I originally read the series as a teen I read the books with a darker tone than the narrator does. he's a great narrator but I would of liked a more serious and mature feel to it. other than that it's a great series and definitely recommend it!

Amazing story and narrator

This was my first favorite series and it's been 25 years since I last read it. I decided to do a long overdue reread and figured it would be a good one to listen to. After listening to the sample I immediate knew it would be good. I wasn't disappointed. I absolutely loved the narrator. he captures 14 year old Bobby Pendragon perfectly! Highly recommend both the series and the audiobook.

The sooner the better.

This book series was recommended to when I was younger, wish o had consumed it then. This book is filled with so many wonderful creative ideas. The narrator is also fantastic.

Great story, meh voices.

The story is fantastic, William Dufris was meh. I could bare it enough to get through the entire story but the whiny and nasal-y voice really doesn't fit Bobby. The female characters should have either been read in a more neutral voice and less of the whispering falsetto of a man or just read out by a woman. Dufris did very well with many other male characters, however. Great book that you should absolutely read or listen to. If you choose to listen, please let yourself get past Bobby's voice and enjoy the story!

Great Story

I first came across the Pendrag series back in middle school in 2006. Still a great read. My only issue is that the guy narrating the story has an abrasive weasely voice and at times it feels as though I am being read to like I were a child.
Story is great enough for me to continue with the audiobook.

A great story and the narrator

very good story and the narrator does his best to give each character a unique voice but some are a little whiny or boring but still I enjoyed everything about this book.
