Publisher's summary

All year the half-bloods have been preparing for battle against the Titans, knowing the odds of victory are grim. Kronos's army is stronger than ever, and with every god and half-blood he recruits, the evil Titan's power only grows.

While the Olympians struggle to contain the rampaging monster Typhon, Kronos begins his advance on New York City, where Mount Olympus stands virtually unguarded. Now it's up to Percy Jackson and an army of young demigods to stop the Lord of Time.

In this momentous final book in the New York Times best-selling Percy Jackson and the Olympians series, the long-awaited prophecy surrounding Percy's 16th birthday unfolds. And as the battle for Western civilization rages on the streets of Manhattan, Percy faces a terrifying suspicion that he may be fighting against his own fate.

The love connection with Annabeth and Percy

Honestly, I give this book 10 out of 10 because it was so outstanding and I love learning about Greek mythology and Roman mythology. I’m so excited to start a new book series by Rick Riordan!!

Jesse Berstein IS Percy Jackson

What made the experience of listening to The Last Olympian: Percy Jackson, Book 5 the most enjoyable?

In an audiobook, more than the story, the narrator has to tell it well.
In the old days, story tellers used to wander between villages with stories of Heroes and Gods.
They were legend. Their narration was SO good that it has followed us down the ages.
To me, Jesse Bernstein represents the very few of those dying breed. The other being Ray Porter.
He truly likes Percy Jackson and you could see the characters leaping off the book into your car.
Guido, Blackjack, Tyson, Annabeth and Hades: To me they are as real as the NY Subway or the traffic in Chennai.

What did you like best about this story?

The Narration. Duh !

Have you listened to any of Jesse Bernstein’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

ALL of his Percy Jackon books. Each one is extremely good.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

When Hades arrives to the Battle.

Any additional comments?

Perfect voice for Percy. Some of his other voices are lacking. An overall fun book.

The books are INCREDIBLE

I love this series. Rick Riordan is so talented and his use of Greek Mythology is quite unique in some ways. I love it! But his talent deserves better than the joke of a narrator.

Jesse Bernstein is a horrid narrator and some of the voices he does for characters of color are offensive and disgusting. And don’t even get me started on that applying voice he pulled for Persephone and Demeter. Just no. He can’t even convey emotion with his voice. I have no idea what they were thinking allowing him to continue narrating this whole series and then some. Replace him. Re-record with a narrator with at least SOME talent for the love of the gods.

Its Cyclopes not Cyclohpees

I have loved these books since high school, and I still do. The story is absolutely amazing and the interweaving of Greek myths is superb. But the voice actor.....just no. It's bad. Really, really bad. The only voice he does very well is Percy. With every other character he seems to do weird accents instead of different voices. Half of the head counselors sound either British or Australian for absolutely no reason, Ethan Nakamura's voice was about as racist as they come, he gave Demeter a lisp, and made Persephone sound like a 80 year old chain smoker who is an inch from death. But the absolute worst was pronouncing cyclopes as Cyclohpees. I have no idea why they hired someone with no range and no clue on how to properly pronounce the Greek names, but it did a complete disservice to an amazing series.
