Story
Meet Percy Stinkson. He's just a normal kid, trying to have fun and make it through school doing as little homework as possible....until he finds out he's the son of a Greek god! And Percy's father isn't just any Greek god. He's Pooseidon, God of Farts! Percy's life is totally transformed as he travels to Camp Half-Wit, where he's trained to use his special farting powers. He's going to need these powers, because he soon learns it's up to him to save the universe by going on a quest to find Zeus's stolen iPhone! It'll be a dangerous quest, but Percy will have company: Grover, a weird kid who thinks he's a half-goat, and Annabeth, a super-hot girl who unfortunately doesn't want to date Percy. Yet. There'll be loads of action and tons of smelly farts as Percy's quest proceeds to its exciting conclusion: a showdown in the Underworld with Hades himself! The odds might be against Percy, but don't give up hope, because he'll have the ultimate weapon at his disposal: The Lightning Fart! Can a fart really save the universe?

Vincent Corinthos has two things going for him: he's a top operative of a secret agency tasked with handling paranormal threats, and he's half-god. Normally that's a combo that leaves him well-equipped to handle any problems that come his way. Until now. Something is snatching Boston's most powerful paranormal entities right off the streets. My name is Nate Temple, and I’m secretly a wizard. I ride a foul-mouthed unicorn, I drink with Achilles, and I’m pals with the Four Horsemen. I’ve even cow-tipped the Minotaur. I understand the theory of following the rules...I’m just not very good at the application. Because rules were meant to be broken, and St. Louis has a bit of a supernatural infestation these days. Someone should probably be keeping an eye on these things -and probably an eye on me, too. Before I blow up another building...or three.

Story
The job was simple: decapitate the zombie, get paid, get out. Warlock Marcus Shifter followed the plan perfectly. The corpse, however, did not. Now there's a body on the loose, accusations of illegal necromancy are flying, and the answers are waiting in the perilous alleys between the mortal and paranormal worlds. They're no place for someone who mostly gave up magic after a childhood accident. And given his tendency to shoot off his mouth and his Glock, Marcus is having a hell of a time digging up more than just bodies. When an apocalypse-minded megalomaniac threatens Marcus's family, things get personal.

The Mist and Luke explained.
What made the experience of listening to The Heroes of Olympus: The Demigod Diaries the most enjoyable?
The book really shows a bit more of Luke and why he did what he did. The end of the book also really explains how the mist works in an easily understood way. It also explains how the concept of magic works in all the previous percy jackson series .
Who was your favorite character and why?
Alabaster, because he explains the mist and he figures out solution to a problem that no one else could figure out, with the help of a human!
What does the narrators bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
I like how Riordan himself narrates in the book also Nick Chamian is better than in the blood of olympus.
If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?
Percy Jackson the Prequill

Unlike the rest of the series... Not the next book
Would you try another book from Rick Riordan and/or the narrators?
Yes, absolutely just not one like this. This isn't like the normal 1st person book. It reads like a mixed diary on the ledge of being close to the other story. It's not as interesting, powerful or adventurous. It gives you insights to the characters though but the narrator jump isn't nearly as smooth. It's confusing and the book seems to jump around a lot.
What could Rick Riordan have done to make this a more enjoyable book for you?
Write the book as a follow up story or adventure the same way the other books are written. This one seems like a hodge podge throw together of scenes cut out from the other books.
How did the narrator detract from the book?
It just doesn't have a familiar feel to the other books. I didn't enjoy it. It didn't grab me the same way the other two did.
You didn’t love this book... but did it have any redeeming qualities?
The adventures jump around too much and doesn't really get you into the characters as quickly. He starts drawing you into stories and then jumps to another like a short story reading. The narrators are also very important to an audio book. Jumping back and forth vs. using them all together makes it hard to connect to the book plus I'd just gotten used to the last narrator of the other books. I belive he was the same narrator who reads the nymph section with leo. Having new narrators start the book also makes it hard to connect.

I love the Rick Riordan books!!! 💕
This book is great especially if you like the Rick Riordan books! In this book it includes some of your favorite characters such as Percy Jackson , Annabeth Chase, Jason Grace,Leo Valdez ,Piper McLean, Luke Castellan, George, Martha (The snakes on Hermes’s caduceus)
and Thalia Grace. Hecate goddess of magic, and Hermes the messengers of the gods.I really enjoyed this book. It has some good story’s that take place after the original Percy Jackson series. I recommend listening to this book after reading/listening to the original Percy Jackson series. Thank you Uncle Rick (Rick Riordan)!! 💕😃
