Good Story Continued

The character of Kitty Jones was a good addition. The narrator really brings this story to life. Now to book 3.

Great 2nd novel (slight character spoiler)

Haha I mean do not read review because of a spoiler not so much about the story but about character development. It just upsets me... Well here we go.
I loved the book but man Nathaniel really sucked in this book kind of made me want to stop listening. I mean I understand making the protagonist go through some character destroying/building moments or seasons but at least don't take the dudes heart out of it. Well I hope int the third book it doesn't take to long to put him on a certain rebel girls side!!

Wow, it only gets better

If you enjoyed the first, you will love this one. Story keeps on building. Bartimeus is still lol funny.

Witty and clever

Witty and clever, book two in the trilogy expands the greater world and the players from the first book. Bartimaeus is a particularly entertaining as the perspective shifts from him as a character to his own self-serving and hilarious narrations. A great story to share with my kid and an easy to love work of fantasy fiction in its own right.

A great book in one of my favorite series.

I find myself coming back to this series a lot, it is one of my favorites. If you enjoy Harry Potter at all, this series is a must read. I actually enjoy these books more than HP, only beaten by Tolkien.

captivating and magical

Once again our hero Nathanial sets out with the djinni Bartimaeus to once again save his world from a looming enemy. The plot thickens as our favorite witty djinn and a mysterious girl uncover the dark mastermind behind a plot to size power.

Much better than the first book.

This second book is much better than the first. It provides a good background to the more side of the whole story. Something is brewing...

The entire trilogy is very well done. The story is creative, multi-layered, and engaging. The narration is spot on. I was hooked from the very start and thoroughly enjoyed the entire series.

great book, great narration

I love the first two books of this series. The character of Bartimaeus is awesome. I love seeing him interact with the other characters. And the narrator was so good that I seriously want to write a book just for him to narrate.
