Enthusiastic Reading for Before Bed
Where does Stories by Beatrix Potter rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?
It's in the middle. The material is nothing special - just the Beatrix Potter I grew up with - but the performance is giggle-inducing and charming. I've taken to putting it on before bed with the sleep timer going, since I won't miss anything essential to the plot if I fall asleep.
What other book might you compare Stories by Beatrix Potter to and why?
Any bedtime story or children's book would compare well.
What does Nicki White bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
She enunciates well and it adds a playful lilt to the stories. When reading the book, I always focused on the beautiful illustrations, and White's voice brings out the language.
